Seriously, Tulane? A middle of the pack AAC team? Score was 63-60. They beat them 100-56 game before. Consecutive win 101. Gotta check out the Boneyard.

There's an obvious explanation for this. Geno decided to honor Vivian's 1000th win in advance by playing her style of offensive basketball instead of UConn basketball. I can't think of any better way to honor someone than imitating that person.

They've won 101 games in a row, about 99 of those wins were by double digits. Amazing considering they're getting everybody's best shot. Wouldn't be surprised if there are more games like this. This is uncharted territory.

This is their WTF game. After 100 in a row, they are entitled to one.
They will still need to clear space on the shelf for the '17 NCAA trophy they will win.

Temple is their next game, be interested to see how they respond.

Geno is apparently pissed with the performance, although he (correctly) acknowledged that Tulane is well coached. That said, I'm with the prediction that nothing will change in the long run. Still, interesting that they get the 3rd best team in the American for their next game, and coached by a former UConn assistant coach.

By the way, I spend a lot of time on the Boneyard, but I never read game threads or critique of their own team's play. I did see the thread where someone complained that Meg Culmo wasn't "enough of a homer" during the game. Yikes.

Saw that also, lol.

I watched the game and they were most definately rattled. While Tulane played an excellent game, if it was a better team, UConn would have been toast. This was the first game without Nurse and they really have no guard depth. According to the broadcasters, Nurse will be out at least 2 weeks with a leg injury. She was in a boot and in street clothes.

Depth will be an issue, for sure. I don't think her loss is going to derail them, although things could get tougher.

I didn't watch the game, but I put it down to being a trap game after win #100 and the discombobulation that results from the loss of a player. Have seen that many a time.

Tulane only lost by 3? They may be ranked after that performance.

Fans forget that without the prior UConn loss the winning streak would be over 140 straight wins.
