Bring back a red helmet.

You can break the stripes up by putting this logo in the middle:

If I were Nike, I wouldn't be worried too much about it because those sleeve stripes tend to get bunched up under their new "pro-cut" Mach Speed templates:

These are vastly better than our current uniforms. I don't like the idea of just using the same uniform as a pro team though, it wouldn't truly be our identity then. Also I hate the chrome helmets, I think red would be much better, or even the white ones with the red R and red stripes that we have now. I think this is a great starting point, but I would tweak the stripes on the helmet and pants to differentiate the uniform from the 49ers and Ohio State. Still, MUCH better than what we are forced to put up with now. I love the numbers.
I think the helmet we wear with the black alternates with the Black R and when we put the red stripe between the black sword outline is the best. Like the black facemask with it or can go with the gray. I hate the red facemask...looks cartoonish.
Any way someone can do a mock-up with the red helmet and BLACK BLOCK R and make it look decent? I think that would look unique.

The helmets are designed to show wear. They start with a certain amount of "battle scars".. as the season goes on they get added to. That's what was said when introduced.
Everyones got an opininion but just because some people dont like the uniform doesnt mean that person should try and change them...
Personally i like the RR ERA unis the best... However i have no problem with the current unis and think they look great... I think the OP uniform are ugliet than what Rutgers has now....the all chrome helmet is awful and hate when teams use it....
Dont think Rutgers (not we) need to change the uniform and if it went to OP like many of u are not happy now i wouldnt be happy so we are in same predicament
