Regardless of how the team is playing, the athletic department deserves major kudos for going back to the modern classic helmets, jerseys and pants. They look great! Beyond a "blackout" game here and there, I hope our uniforms are never, ever changed again.

I still have to warm to this numeral typeface......but winning would do that.

Winning in any sport would do that....because they are using the same numerals across all the sports now.

I liked them when they were revealed, but now having seen them on the field and on TV, I love them. I've gotten used to the numbers. These unis look great.

I was saying this in the stands yesterday when things were going poorly. I am so happy we don't have gimmick uniforms anymore. I love seeing us run on the field in our red and white like a real team/school with some heritage, and not some mid major commuter school.

Meh, they could've done so much better with a modern classic update. Aside from getting the red right, these are pretty stale. The old sword font was better than this new font & our old helmets were better. They should've used a better block font, had better sleeves/stripes & kept the silver helmets...or at least added the sword stripes to the new helmets.

Took me a couple games to get used to the font for the numbers but am all in now. The red looks beautiful on tv and the chain links on the shoulders look cool to me. Wait upgrade

So glad we aren't wearing space helmets anymore.

Also glad I actually know who is playing again because I can see the numbers clearly. The last 4 years were kind of a lost generation thanks to the uniforms. I had no idea who was playing outside of a handful of people.

I think they abandon a lot of features that were "traditionally Rutgers," but -- as a TV viewer -- no complaints during game time. Rutgers looks good again, finally.

The jersey numbering that came from the same typeface as the spirit mark (aka, the "Block R"). That said, this new numbering system is even more prominent.
^^ THISSSSSS ^^ change the numbers back to our own athletics actual font (in all sports too, which it was anyway up until this year even with football having the sword numbers) .. And then lock the door to the Nike design room and never open it again

If you guys mean the rounded Chicago Bears look...no.

But agree with the locking the door. While I like (aside from the font) I do feel this was more an intern looking project than done by a pro.
