Anyone know what time games are tonight. I can't find anywhere. At Kean I assume.

Union County is LOADED with great HS hoops. 1212 must be in his glory, watching that great Linden team going up against so called better teams but having Linden usually find a way.

I'll be there, just left work in NYC.

Haven't see any of the 4 teams play this year. Grew up in Elizabeth playing against Collichio and Colletti. Should be fun.

St Pats over RC in 1st game -55-46. RC was up by 3 heading into 4th. Reid and Richards was a good matchup. Mikey Rice very quiet.

Reid actually outplayed Richards tonight. He was more agressive and had more rebounds. Richards I think had 4 dunks and 3 foul shots. Every basket he makes is right under the basket. Linden won the nightcap over St. Mary's 49-38. They led 27-13 at the half but let up in the third period only leading by 7 entering the 4th quarter. Their defense kept St. Mary's from penetrating. Saturday will be tough against all the height of The Patrick School but Linden's guards are good. They did split 2 games already this season. Rice was very quiet the last 2 games. I think the other Head Coach has been leading The Patrick School these last few games.

Were any Rutgers coaches at the double header?

I'm sure the staff has been there but I think Kentucky and Calipari are looming larger for Naz Reid, which with his improved play in recent weeks, may eliminate strong consideration for him staying local (St. Johns/RU impacted the most).

The reality is there is so much local talent at RC/Patrick/Linden/Blair, St Bens', St Anthony, St. Joes, Gill St Bernard and countless other schools that RU should improve it's talent base with some solid recruiting...RU can improve dramatically with the normal B1G recruit that we haven't gotten in recent years under Eddie Jordan or the end of the Rice era...

I don't think staking a claim that landing a 5* recruit is going to define the staff, we just can't carry players we have that are not capable of playing half-court basketball that requires an occasional jump shot or normal passing. The roster is so limited that with safe reliable recruiting the next two years, RU will improve quickly.

The 2nd tier Top 100-175 kids in the area (landing 2 or 3 a year), mixed with one bonafide Top 50-100 kid, takes RU to bubble status in 2-3 years....the key is what players can be brought in late this spring, there are still a lot of capable recruits being looked at, that can be added for 2017, once we see the expected attrition of a spot or two that happens each and every season at major programs.

As far as Linden vs Patrick, have to lean towards Patrick in the matchup...it would not shock me if Linden wins, but think Patrick wins a close one.
