So I just read up on Temple's plan to build an on-campus stadium, and it got me thinking about Rutgers' future.
Now it goes without saying that a new stadium is NOT in Rutgers' near future. Or even distant future, in all likelihood.
But let's say in 2030, after Rutgers has won its 5th consecutive national championship, Rutgers decides it needs a new mega-stadium a la PSU, UM, and tOSU. We're talking at least 100k seats, a truly B1G stadium.
Where do they build it? Is there any spot near campus that could work while keeping parking and pedestrian traffic (tailgating) in mind? Do they demo the old stadium and re-use the land for the new one?
Thought this might be a fun escape from the Flood and Rettig threads.
