Of note :
Anthony Cioffi tied for 2nd in interceptions w 3

Chris Laviano 2nd (very close to 1st) in QB rating w 156.1

Steve Longa 1st w 11 tackle/game

Janarion Grant 1st in KO returns

Martin 5 and Hicks 8 in rushing /game avg

Janarion Grant 3 rd in All Purpose yards

Kiy Hester tied 8 th in passes defended
Anthony Cioffi tied 8th in passes defended

Kiy Hester has really stepped up. We expected this from Cioffi--he is awesome. Very pleased with Blessuan Austin and Isaiah Wharton too. Really pleased with all of the DBs. Jarius Adams is green and getting picked on, but hopefully he will pick it up--he had offers from Wisconsin and Michigan--glad he wound up on the Banks.

This just tell me that we score enough and we shouldn't worry about the offense. The pass defense is the reason we are losing games. Look at the team offense and defense.

We should beat Maryland easily since they have a terrible pass and run defense, worse than our. We should beat Nebraska if we pass but will lose if we try to run on them, terrible pass defense but great run defense. Wisconsin will be tough to beat since they have good pass and run defense and they score adequately.

For some reason Carroo's individual statistics are't on the individual top rankings list which doesn't make sense given the number of receiving touchdowns he has.

Cioffi is alright I guess. Just another RU player that will probably fall to Belichick.

Good pick up about Carroo's omission. Kind of strange. He should be there.

Lots of interesting stuff in there.

1st in passing efficiency on offense
Last in passing efficiency on defense

contrary to lots of perceptions, 4th in penalties.

Is there something about "appearing in 75% of team's games" or something? He's played in 4 of our 6 games, so that'd only be 67%.

I'm not too sure. Was also thinking perhaps they didn't consider the Norfolk game since they are a D I-AA team but I put no effort into looking into this further. I'm sure this isn't the case.

To make the ranking they must have played in 75% of the team' games. Since he has not he is not eligible to be in those rankings.

"perceptions"? We were near the bottom in the nation until the last 2 games. Has nothing to do with "perceptions." We've simply tightened things up the last couple of weeks (also helps that B1G officials let teams play a little...).

I agree it's all tightening up and playing with more discipline. Most RU penalties were procedure, motion, and off sides. Doesn't matter who or where the crew comes from with those penalties.

Right now RU is #46 in penalty yards in the FBS.
