Furthermore them predicting us at 109 is pretty insulting. That means they think there are only 19 teams worse than us.
Not much to complain about as a PSU fan. I think one of our WRs will be All B1G so we'll also have to see how that pans out. I also think we have a shot at having the best RB unit in the B1G.
Having Haskins on the list is dumb IMO. He's not going to see the field and will have zero impact. Also not sure how you put OSU's DL over Michigan's.

Cool story.CBS Sports released their top 128 yesterday. They have Rutgers at No. 111. So either a lot of people are going to be very wrong or RU is going to be very bad.
Cool story.
Let's look at the teams ranked ahead of RU on CBS Sports list. The list is laughable.

110. SMU--Please.
109. East Carolina. Get lost
108. Miami of Ohio--Funny.
107. FIU- Yeah, OK.
106. Illinois-well see about that one
105. Idaho- Ba, ha, ha.
104. Tulane--sure.
103. Fresno State-nope.
102. Purdue- make me a boilermaker.
101. New Mexico-well see about this one too.
100. South Carolina--WTF happened after Spurrier left?
99. Virginia Cavaliers- Umm, no.
98. Buffalo Bulls--did they mean the Bills?
97. Old Dominion- They have a football team?
96. Iowa State- We beat them already
95. FAU- FAU, not FSU
94. Colorado-- @cubuffdoug, what do you think?
93. Bowling Green- No.
92. Syracuse-- No way.
91. Wake Forest- must be because Dave Cohen is on the coaching staff
88. UNLV- They have a football team?
87. BC- it's do or die for the bald guy.
84. UTEP--not the Longhorns.
83. Louisiana Lafayette--Why not put Lehigh and Lafayette here?
82. Central Michigan--Chippewhats?
I could continue, but you get the point.
Not shooting the messenger, just the message. Never paid attention enough to be aware of Old Dominion football. The list is stupid. They should just stop at the top 25 or maybe 50.I never said they were correct. Don't shoot the messenger. :uzi:
C'mon with that Old Dominion comment, though. You must know they have a program because they were one of the few that Flood beat consistently for recruits.

Some people think Flood did far better with what he had.
Most know Edsall did far less than what he had. If you look at our recruiting classes and wins it is horrible. A good coaching staff will make Maryland look like some amazing turn around when in fact we were severely underplaying.
Gesicki and Blacknall are from my neck of the woods. Hope they have better seasons, but not on Nov. 19.
It's heartwarming that you keep tabs on me. My woods has a big neck.Manahawkin is your neck of the woods? I thought you lived in Rumson. That's 50 miles away.
That's like someone in New Brunswick saying Paterson is in their neck of the woods.

You will not find many of those people here on Scarlet Nation. However, beating Michigan and Maryland in 2014 could provide that perception. Or was it your old Coach Friedgen who was the man behind the curtain that made 2014 a fairly decent season? A look at RUs 2015 season points to Friedgen having a key role in the 2014 success--or at least doing a great job with Gary Nova.
You would have said the same thing about Rudock last year. Unlike Rudock, both O'Korn and Speight have actually been in the system for a year plus whereas Rudock was only here two months before the first game.My second sentence explains the surprise. Michigan's QB and McSorley ahead of Leidner and Lunt? That's ridiculous.
Cool story.

As far as I'm concerned RU fans will be hearing Nashville Music / singing Deep in the Heart Dallas/ eating some Chicken in Santa Clara or just having a Holiday in San Diego..
That's true but that year ( if I recall correctly) the AAC had a number of fine QB's that went high in the NFL draft. That being said, the DB scheme for Rutgers was horrible.EVERY QB played great against Rutgers in 2013.
It was a murderer's row. O'Korn, Bortles (UCF), Garrett Gilbert (SMU), a gimpy Teddy Bridgewater, Brandon Kay (Cincinnati). But we held the fort down against USF, saving Kyle Flood's job (maybe it was saved before the game)--and we got bobbleheads. That's true but that year ( if I recall correctly) the AAC had a number of fine QB's that went high in the NFL draft. This would make sense. This is OT, but are you guys seeing bigger DL being recruited with Ash at the helm?
This would make sense.
Under GS.. in the Big East.. we could have that smaller fast DL and handle those spreads we'd see better and the one or two times we'd see some team with a massive OL, we could scheme them a bit.
But in the B1G TEN? We see massive OLs nearly every game. Our smaller DL can get wore down as the season goes by. That same thing happened to us in the early 80s when we began playing Pitt, WVU, Penn State, BC, Syracuse every year.. we'd compete early, maybe beat a couple of these guys, then in November we'd get crushed. Injuries and lack of depth and just wore down elevens..
I'd like to see a flexible DL with depth where we can go small and fast or big and run-stopping.. but few teams can do that... do it well at least.
