I know many of you swear by using hay at your tailgates. With bad weather this weekend likely I am going try it out for the first time. Looking for advice regarding quantity, cost, placement, and other helpful tips. We will have two cars/spaces.

Why do you think there is going to be bad weather? High of 74, storm is not coming near us.
Right now forecasts calling for rain but fluctuating. Noon and 6pm stop times IIRC.
Can always do a "" Haymaze" to find your way to HPSS with no rain. Or an old fashion cookout sitting on bales of hay. Won't go to waste.Remember weather forecasters telling us "showers" last year and it rained entire day. Bring the hay!
One of the best tailgates I attended was when we played VTech about 28 years ago. It was a monsoon. Our tailgate had canopies where we huddled. In the parking lot there was wet T-shirt contests, mud wrestling, two-hand touch games, cars spinning tires in the mud, and lots of fun. We made it into the game about half-time. VTech won by about 7 or 8 TDS. Point being: If it rains, it rains. Don't let rain dictate your fun at a Rutgers football experience.
I wonder if you were near us at the front corner of the yellow lot (rented out a yellow "box truck" for the tailgate...probably had 30 people inside of it at any given time). The rain started about the time the bars closed (it was still 3AM at the time...) and didn't stop. Just torrential downpours. We were also doing mud slides INTO empty garbage/recycling cans that were laid down on their sides. Mind you, I was a senior at the time, so....[cheers]
Which facility/group? My mother worked in REMBASS at Camp Evans.Nuts, it was the Yellow lot. Our group was mostly from Fort Monmouth, where my wife worked.
