Its almost game time!!! One Nation One Team! Game is on Fox starting at 8pm.

Lets hope the USA can get their second win in their group. Sweden is the 5th ranked team in the world and USA is the ranked #2 so this should be a good game. I CANT FRIGGIN WAIT!!!

Another nil-nil nailbiter. I haven't seen so many people walking around in a major event since the Easter Parade.

Was that the game you couldn't Friggin Wait for? Hope the OP didn't get too lathered up and is in off the ledge.

I can't tell if you are being serious or sarcastic. Thats ok. Im only posting this on the Rivals board because the greatest athlete to come out of Rutgers, you know that school you probably didnt go to but root for anyway, is playing at the highest level in her sport and is representing my country (not sure about yours) the United States of America. I thought some people might be interested to know about it, even though you arent. I dont know, call me crazy, I kind of like to cheer for my country and cheer for alumni of my school.

Anyway, it actually was a very entertaining game of soccer! End to end action. Even though the United States needed a clearance off the line, they showed great possession for the majority of the game against an opponent with their backs against the wall. You're probably too dense to understand the tactical side of this game, but thats ok too. ;)

Why don't you make a few more ridiculous assumptions. I've been watching soccer since before you were born. I live in Portland , one of the hot beds of American soccer, both mens and women and regularly watch the Timbers and, to a lesser extent, the Thorns. I am a decorated war veteran who served in the army- the US Army. Just because I called the game out for the POS that it was is no reason to question my loyalty or knowledge of soccer. I'm glad I didn't pay for a ticket for a game that the US had no interest in winning. If that game was exciting to you , and a tactical gem, than the bar has been set to a new low. Sweden controlled the middle most of the game and the US resorted to an uninteresting and boring style of play throughout. The game had a pulse for about 5 minutes.

Oh, and by the way, I'm a Loyal Son and member of the Old Guard.

This is the exact reason I call bulls***. Well maybe I shouldnt. You may have been watching soccer more than I have but you have no clue about what you are talking about. That goes the same for football based on your moronic posts but we can shelve that for another discussion.

Actually, what do I care I call bulls*** on your analysis of how the United States played and on practically everything else you were spewing in your little diatribe.

I would say our substitutions for tonight clearly showed we were trying to get the win. If we were only playing for the draw, there'd be no reason to sub in Wambach or Morgan.

It wasn't the most exciting scoreless draw, but not the worst either. Julie Johnston is a superstar in the making. Klingenberg's header off the crossbar was a great defensive play, as was Sauerbrunn racing back to slide in and break up Sweden's 2 on 1. Let's beat Nigeria to win the group and see what happens in the knockout stage.

Very boring game. US did not look good on offense. Sweden really shut them down. US is very lucky to get out with a tie.

Lloyd did have one good chance at the end with a header that just missed. She almost did it. Yeah, not the most exciting game ever, but they all can't be, looking forward to the next game. Also, at what point did they bring in Wambach? She needs to play the entire game imo. Of course I know very little about soccer strategy lol. But I was an unscored upon goalie for our 8th grade intramural team at Hackettstown Middle school, lol. 4 whole games !

The casual sports fan wants to see scoring .I understand the technical aspects of soccer resonate with soccer aficionados but its still a hard sell to watch especially when you have the remote in your hand.to quickly change channels.

I am very much a womens soccer fan and very much a Carli Lloyd fan but this may have been the worst game ive seen seen her play. Passed the ball to the opposition 6 times by my count and missed several scoring opps. Then there was the headbutt....had to hurt.

I hope she just had a WTF game and it doesnt happen again any time soon...

I think Sunhaggen got into this teams head...we should have won handily.....

GO USA!
