Want to see what kind of offense we might see from Drew Mehringer's offense ? Here is video from a big game for JMU in Nov of 2014, Mehringers last season as OC for JMU before going to Houston as WR coach. PS- JMU got a QB transfer in , Vlade Lee, from Georgia Tech, who broke all the passing records that season for JMU.

We don't have a Vlade Lee. And beating. Stony Brook by 3 is not an awe inspiring effort. Thank you, but I' ll wait and see. Always preferred the pro set anyway.

Actually we do have a Vad Lee, his name is Tyler Oden, look for him to start around mid-end October. He'll have growing pains as a true freshman, but the offense you saw in that video is why Oden was recruited and why Jonathan Lewis was picked over Tommy DeVito for the 2017 class.

I was at that JMU-SB game (in fact I see me in the video) on the visitors side and it was a nice comeback by the Dukes. Their 55-20 rout of Richmond and shootouts at UNC-Charlotte and at home against WM were probably the most impressive offensive displays under Mehringer.

He was only at JMU for the 2014 season, but in that time transformed the old smash-mouth clock-draining run offense averaging 20-odd points per game under the Mickey Matthews regime into a much more up-tempo spread, generating 40 pts per game in 2014 in conference play. Until Vad Lee was injured in the 2015 season, JMU's offense averaged 49 pts per game under co-OCs Brett Elliott and Zak Kuhr, and they averaged 35 pts per game for the remainder of the season.

Safe to say there are a lot of plays and motion you'd see the Buckeye's run. Giving our backs space to run will pay heavy dividends.

YouTube has the other 2014 game highlights.

Said nobody who understands 2016 football. Said nobody x2000 who understands where RU is in the pecking order of Pro style QB, TE, and left tackles.

Yeah, and what did the pro set do for Rutgers in give or take 15 years that they ran it?

Stoney Brook is not a bad team....gave Cuse a scare in the Dome last yr.....with 2 star and UR roster mostly...doubt you'll find any 3 stars on that team but the play hard.
