I can’t be the only one. I love hoops season. I always did but it was such a skull dragging before Pike in the B1G and previously. Now that we are good it’s a passion again. Something to look forward to without pending doom hovering over your head.
Just saw the Illinois Texas box score... Marcus Carr is still in college
Double checked birthdays, and Caleb is older than Carr by around 5 months. Both were born in 1999, Caleb on January 3 and Carr on June 6.
I actually turned it on when I saw it was in OT and immediately turned it off because BC was up 71-66 with two minutes left. Lol that they ended up losing 74-71.Illinois wins!
In other news, New Hampshire knocks off Boston college on their home floor in OT. Should provide a nice little boost to Columbia’s NET.
I think the multiple schools makes it seem that way.Double checked birthdays, and Caleb is older than Carr by around 5 months. Both were born in 1999, Caleb on January 3 and Carr on June 6.
But it certainly feels like Carr has been around forever, and this is his third school.
Going to be tough for Temple to pull their NET up in the short term. December's schedule is full of teams with NETs of 200 and above.
229 Penn
66 Ole Miss
307 MD-Eastern Shore
206 East Carolina
Still, part of the formula is efficiency and scoring margin. If they can beat these teams by 10 for more and put up good, offensive and defensive efficiency numbers, they may make some small gains. Every little bit helps. They have a Quad 4 loss to Wagner and that isnt going away

I generally don't have a problem rooting for SHU in most other games, unless it's against a B1G school or if a SHU win would negatively impact our seeding. Its the real sporting issue with the NET. Having to want to crush your rivals today and then root for them tomorrow. Hard to do with for the SHUs and PSUs of the world.
I can’t say I feel the same wayI generally don't have a problem rooting for SHU in most other games, unless it's against a B1G school or if a SHU win would negatively impact our seeding.
I'd rather SHU be a Q1/Q2 game, and for both of us to be good. Makes our games more meaningful and juiced, especially since they no longer matter for conference seeding.I can’t say I feel the same way
Sounds like you do feel the same way as me.Don't get me wrong, it doesn't break my heart when they lose, and I get a good chuckle when they get embarrassed, but on the balance I'd rather they be a competitive program overall.
Agreed. There’s some recruiting overlap, but Seton Hall generally appeals to different types of kids. I think a competitive rivalry is better for both schools. I’d rather them be decent.I'd rather SHU be a Q1/Q2 game, and for both of us to be good. Makes our games more meaningful and juiced, especially since they no longer matter for conference seating.
