I have a friend in Townsville Australia who I spent a few months with while serving in Iraq. He got me interested in NRL football (go Cowboys!) and I got him hooked on RU football. Saturday I will be up at 0530 to watch the Cowboys playoff game against the Sharks and he wants to watch the RU game. Anybody have any idea how he would get that game Down Under?

If you have BTN, and you trust him, give him your service provider login and he can go on BTN 2 Go .com and watch it.

If you or someone you know has a cable account, I would suggest you try logging in and watching through their cable provider. I watch Eagles/Phillies games through my parents Comcast account since I'm in north jerseys coverage

Not sure that would work. I know I tried getting the NRL games here in the US and they were blocked by Fox (who has the rights) for this geographic region. Also the Australian NRL digital pass wouldn't work either because I was outside Australia.

So does anybody know where on the Internet he could get access to the game or even to a copy to watch later?

i tried that to get the NRL games but Fox has blocked that too. I used it to get pricing for BTN2GO international which is what I recommended.

Slingbox is the way to go if you are willing to invest in the box. I have one and it is terrific. I don't use it often, but when I do, it is a lifesaver. I watched the Cowboys / Packers playoff game last year from a hotel room in Hong Kong. Worked perfectly.
