Way too early B1G '19-'20 power rankings article

It was a weird feeling reading this. Initial annoyance at where they ranked Rutgers, and then an oddly good feeling realizing we were ranked ahead of 4 teams including Wisconsin.

They got wrong a few NBA declarations and transfer guys, but its difficult during this transition period. Still, a really interesting projection. I can live with that ranking for now. I feel like middle of the pack will be NIT/bubble teams anyway. Overachieve and we will definitely be in the hunt for postseason hoops next year.

Seems about right to me. We need one or more of the sophomores to break out.

We finished in a three-way tie for 10th last year, so just claiming it for ourselves would be slight improvement, although unsatisfying.

We won't be surprising anyone this time around, and that second step is often much tougher than the first. If we can improve that Big Ten record by a win or two and not have any awful nonconference losses, I'll be pretty happy. That and a conference tournament win might be enough to get us into the postseason.

Very excited for this season. As long as we avoid OOC blunders as noted in the article we should see NIT
