To be fair to ourselves - we were one of the worst Division 1 basketball programs under Eddie Jordan.

Not just Power 5 - all of Division 1.

Maryland isn’t anywhere close to that level right now.

The Littlepage tenure was even worse that Jordan.Fans that showed up at the RAC wore paper bags over their heads.

They always try and lump themselves in with the elite big 10 atmospheres as well. When it's full for a big game, sure. But they are as fair weather as they get.

I’m almost surprised that they are as fair weather as they are. Is it since they joined the Big 10? Fish out of water syndrome? It’s strange to me.

I’d make the argument given our lack of success we are as good as any fan base in the country. Who else tortured as much as us?

Compare Rutgers in 2024 to Maryland in 2024 - very comparable

Compare the nature of fan support at the RAC this year (filled most nights, fans active and engaged) to what we heard and saw at Maryland the other night (more empty seats than fans, an absolute morgue)
