between last years Iowa, minn, and Illinois games and the Nebraska, Illinois and Purdue games this year we seem much more suitable for the big ten west. All games competitive.
I mean, it's not like 1/4 of the east is ranked or anything....between last years Iowa, minn, and Illinois games and the Nebraska, Illinois and Purdue games this year we seem much more suitable for the big ten west. All games competitive.
Is this a surprise?
The geographical division setup is making the West an after thought. Did the committee forget their collective glasses that day when they proclaimed, "Now those are competitive equal divisions". The imbalance is only going to get worse if recruiting is a true barometer of future success.Geography got us into the B1G. Geography is hurting us in the B1G.
But, better to be in than out and a path to success is there....
It's all about recruiting. the east division is strong in east coast whereas the west division is focused in other recruiting areas ( Calif) where they are not dominant--that's why Nebraska is hurting.I wonder why?
