For some strange reason, we get out to early leads, our spacing is much better, we rebound better, we seem to shoot a little better from the field, our defense is elite with less breakdowns, we get leads , while on the road. Our home conference games, Penn State, Northwestern, Iowa, Nebraska and Minnesota have had some of our worst shooting performances, which for a home gym should not occur. With the exception of Northwestern , where we had a 9 point first half lead that evaporated to 3 at half, there has been no 9 plus point second half leads like at Iowa, at Penn State, Wisconsin at MSG( also out of conference against Seton Hall ) . We have played 7 true road games and a neutral at MSG, and although we have not been good from 3 point range anywhere,, we hit 7 in the Wisconsin and Penn State road games and never more than 4 at home .
I thought the RAC would help us in the last 2 home games against Iowa and Minnesota , only to be bitterly disappointed as we were against both Penn State and Northwestern, winnable home games that we played terribly for 20 plus minutes. On the road , we seem to have only a few minute drought but we have played our best. I do not know what Coach can do but ending the year with 3 straight home games, something I was thrilled with earlier in the year, and could give us momentum going into the tourney, does not look as promising.

Very good analysis of home versus road performance.Bottom line Rutgers has no margin for error regardless where the gams is played. Can't win if you can't score.
