We win tonight with a d1 kicker and punter

We probably would of have been winning at the half and the 10k that left would have stayed.
Yes because the kickers gave up 549 yards and only gained 87 yards.

While the punter had a bad game, the block wasn't on him. Someone blew an assignment allowing a PSU player to come in up the middle unblocked.

I would love to see what RU and opponent average starting field position stats are for the season. Can't seem to find it anywhere. I imagine our opponent average must be one of the worst in the nation.

Whether we would have won or Not is irrelevant. What matters is that our kicking game sucks. Does anyone know if there are any kickers among the recruits for next year. I do not recall reading about any. If this staff does beat the bushes for a quality kicker that would be a serious error in judgement.

To open the game we kick the ball with the wind and it only goes to the 8 yard line. Of course they fumbled the ball, but that a another story.

It would have ended up 9-0 if we held them to no Second half first downs. KO s don't matter as much when you can't score, it's just depressing to watch when other teams can do it. Punting is more critical at this point because it has become an integral part of our offense.

No punter can constantly make up for "3 and outs" from inside your own 30 yard line. Defense did pretty well considering a short field and only 3 plays rest before they are back on the field. Right now my 9 year old son and I celebrate first downs like they were touchdowns and touchdowns like Super bowl victories. Fix the offense and this team can compete and the kickers and punters will not have the weight of the world on their shoulders.
