What Events Have You Been To At Madison Square Garden?

One circus. One Big East tournament game (vs. Boston College). Always hated going into the city

Went to the first FDNY/NYPD hockey game after 9/11 in a private box.

Same cheer as the Rangers for us.

Game is usually played at Nassau Coliseum.

Through the decades, there are way to many to mention in total from concerts to Knicks and Rangers games and of course the annual NCAA wrestling event Grapple in the Garden.

However, my most memorable moment had to be hearing Pearl Jam perform Crown of Thorns in 2003.

Too many RU bball games to count, beginning in December 1966 (freshman year), but the last one was the Iowa State NIT semifinal game more than 10 years ago. The most memorable of these was the triple OT win over Ohio State in the final of the Holiday Festival in December 1978, followed by the 1967 NIT opening round win over Utah State in what was RU's first post-season game ever, and the ECAC Metro championship win over St. John's in 1976 to keep the undefeated season going, at 28-0.

Also one Rangers game in the late 60s, but that didn't interest me.

the Ohio state and St Johns games also, two of my favorites, along with a complete beating of a ranked Cincy team, say hello to Jammin James Bailey...they did not know what hit them..........the NIT final loss to Michigan.......losing to Texas in another NIT where they had two pint size guards, one appearing way overweight, they ran us out of the building.....

concerts....sure....I was at the Elton John concert, Thanksgiving night 1974, where John Lennon came up and sang three songs with Elton..."Lucy in the sky", "I saw her standing there", and....... "what ever gets you through the night"....the song that Lennon made a bet with Elton, that if it went to number one, he had to go up on stage with him and sing it.....stage appearances for John Lennon were so rare that he got sick before going on stage.

this was John Lennons last concert appearance .......so special a night, that anytime Elton plays the garden and sings, he always looks back at that concert...number 22 on the MSG list of best events
