they have lost 4 out of 5---they seemed to be one of the top teams in big east

They sure can score but Depaul pounded them on the boards. I know it was like 40-16 Depaul in rebounds with about 4 minutes left.

SHU is a pretty average team with one great player. They aren’t good enough to win when they aren’t firing on all cylinders. They seem to be going through a bit of a slump right now.

Big East is a little more balanced this year. Anyone can beat win any given night. DePaul had Nova on the ropes a couple of weeks ago and unraveled late.

Things even out over time....hot shooting eventually cools off and career games from 4th and 5th scoring options aren't the norm.

#mirror lol.

They beat us. The stretch shows w e could have beaten them had W E been fireing on all cylinders ourselves.

Oh and that's on u s
. s o frustrating !

They are an average team with one great player. We are a below average team with nothing but average players.

Seton Hall misses the star players that graduated last year because they provided consistent inside/outside scoring ,rebounding and defensive pressure.

They should still make it the record they have currently puts them in position. We live in a glass Mansion yet

The Rutgers post “ why is SHU so good?” Jinxed them. Well done fellas! The real answer is Powell is wearing down and teams are finding out how to minimize him. Also, their top rebounders are not playing well against others and are hurt.

Talk of SHU’s demise is very pre-mature. They are just in a slump.
The whole league's not that great. You could see that when they went head to head with the Big 10, and it started with NOVA losing by 30 to Michigan at home.

It's an above average league this year with a bunch of OK teams. No one is terrible but no one is near the Top 15-16.

Kentucky won at Auburn yesterday and Maryland is on fire right now. When you play a team matters, fortunately for SHU those wins are getting better by the week. I never saw that roster as an NCAA lock but Powell was playing at James Harden-like levels in December. If that returns, they'll be fine.

At the same time, it highlights how teams adjust and scout and teams eventually force the 3rd and 4th options to produce. Cale and McKnight are actually stepping up, if they didn't,.some of these recent games could've gotten ugly.

It also highlights that fans like splashy plays, the 3s, the shooters etc...but when you get eaten alive on the glass and don't have a balanced roster of size, you're going to have games when you look great (Kentucky, Maryland) and others not so much.

As long as you don’t count us in your big ten analysis; needless to say, what appear to be two middle of the road big east teams had their way with our squad.

Big East Teams are pretty good scouting league members and have a pretty good idea of weaknesses and strengths of a particular opponent. SHU's weakness is the lack of a true center. Thompson, Nzei and Mamu are forwards. Gill has been a pleasant surprise but has been injured during our slump. Next year this should not be an issue when Obiago plays.

we will see...they have alot of tough games left and their wins at home seem to be nailbiters.

on the flip side they have two great OOC wins and the NCAA committee has proven that OOC wins carry alot of clout...even moreso than failing in league play.

Big East isnt that strong this year...they will get 4....Nova, Marq and then the rest battling for those 2 spots.

Big East may not be strong but it is deep. With Pac12 way down can easily see Big East getting 5 bids.

SHU's issue may be two losses to DePaul but DePaul may only be favored two more games this year.

St.John's has a gaudy record. Who knows?
