CFB could have their nightmare scenario for bowl placement: Depending on the outcome of the Army Navy game on Dec. 12 to determine bowl placements for nearly everyone. Well not us of course, but this would be chaos of massive proportions.

They already have a loss. They aren't going to the playoffs and without a big win against a P5 they aren't getting a BCS bowl either. Not sure what the concern is.

What's the nightmare? The highest rank G5 champ gets an one of the non playoff "BCS" bowls. The AAC likely has the inside track on that with Memphis/Houston/Temple all being ranked and Navy with 1 loss and likely not too far out from the rankings. If they win out and win the AAC they may be the highest ranked G5 team and get that spot. Someone from the G5 is going to get it, why is it a nightmare if Navy does? The extra week to wait?

Well they wouldn't have a P5 win but they would have wins against a ranked Memphis/Houston/Temple and that could be enough to make them the highest ranked G5 team.

The nightmare is if for some reason Navy lost to Army, someone else would get the G5 spot which could potentially change a whole lot of bowl destinations.

I get that but I think most of these bowls already have pre determined tie ins with the conferences. I don't know how much chaos it will cause and how much of a domino effect you'd see. It could be as simple as switching out one AAC team for another with regards to the AAC's bowl tie ins.

But once all those guys play each other and losses mount people will forget the hype. If Memphis loses to Temple and Houston people here will start to think Fuentes isnt good enough for us. Lol

That'd be fine with me. I'd still take him. Houston almost got picked off by Cincy today too. If Herman loses a couple and some think he sucks also fine with me. It would keep them in their spots longer at the very least.

They have a loss to #5 Notre Dame.... If they run the table they have a very good chance at a new years day game.
