Rutgers does not seem like a good team.

Rutgers scored 72. They didn’t get their 10th point until 8:48 in the 1st half.

Didn’t close out on 3 or shooters, didn’t block out. Very disappointing effort. Sometimes the shots don’t fall but defense and rebounding is typically effort. Poor effort tonight.

Rutgers is not going to lose too many at home…not when they have the Jersey Mafia as their refs. (I can say that, as I’m from Tony Soprano’s home town:-)

Rutgers is Baaad, cmon guys. Not this game, get this W

We played a great game.

We DID get a LOT of calls that went our way tonight.

We play defense and rebound well, so with or without calls we can be in games.

PSU hand early fouls and were out of sync. Was it from Defense and pressure or off night?

More games we have like this; I think it is from Defense etc.

Lol on TOS psu site, a poster said all the refs deserve aids. They have a 400+ post game thread and it's all saying how bad the refs are and that we aren't a good team.

Haha, Wenzel was openly cheering and reminiscing about the 89 A10 champ game

Yeah, I could certainly understand being a fan of the Rutgers opponent during the broadcast like tonight and wanting to choke the color guy as much of a homer as Wenzel was. But hey, he's one of ours so the hell with that, I rather enjoyed the homerism. Oh well, suck it UPS fans.

I mean maybe PSU could try to make it a game? St bonny played us way tougher than those soft babies did.

PSU is arguably the softest team on our schedule. Definitely the quickest to cry. Someone should teach them how to act like men out there.

Makes up for when we have to listen to Matt Millen during football season

We pounded the rock inside and that is how this team can win going forward ... hoping Geo returns by 2nd week of February.... being forced to play the youngsters will give us a chance to make the Dance...

Good win. Stop flaunting your super basketball program so much. Ha deserved loss for us. Pikiell must have done a Bobby Knight at the half.
Think they said on radio postgame that he didn't talk to the team, let the assistants do the talking. But I may be wrong.

Stevens whined a bit--and maybe a lot--but they aren't a soft team. They had some bangers and bruisers. The good news is we have them, too, and we took it to them in the paint and got to the line.

No, that was during the timeout near the end of the first half. He was apoplectic, called a time out, then sat at the end of the bench away from the huddle and sent Brandin to go talk to them. Whatever was said in the locker room will stay there, but I have no doubt he ripped them but good, because they sure smartened up the second half. Huge difference in their effort; they worked their tails off the second half.

Refs had nothing to do with this win. Both teams played probably the worst first half they've played all season. Rutgers corrected that, and torched them in the second half. They had their opportunities, but the shots didn't fall. Oh well...that's why it is hard to win on the road in the Big Ten.

Anyone blaming the refs, or saying Rutgers is "baad," is either clueless about what they just watched, or just whining. We own them anyhow. So obviously we aren't that bad.

Saw that. He was livid. Brilliant move.

All announcers talk about the team that's winning. Those fans from the team from PA usually hear how much better they are than us. I guess the shoe is on another foot, now they better get used to this feeling, because this is not your grandfather's Rutgers.

PSU fans (really all fan bases but a bit more prevalent with PSU) love to blame the refs. Worked with a huge PSU football fan for years. They lost a game in 2011 to Alabama, 27-11, was 27-3 until garbage time. I walk into work the following Monday and he's talking to another coworker about the game, going on and on about some bad call that went against them in the 2nd quarter saying how they really got screwed out of an opportunity to win.

27-3!

Class in victory and class in defeat. No need to troll in the gutter after a great win.

Listen to Chambers after the game both this year and last and you will hear how to behave in both situations - with class.
