We know Michigan's D plays a lot like Schiano's D at Rutgers. Press, press, take away the run, play man wide.
We want to run.. they take away the run by stacking the box and run-blitzing (which will serve as a pass rush should you decide to pass).
PSU was ready from the 1st play with a snap to Barkley.. element of surprise.
Will Kill have Rutgers offense ready for this? Or will we see runs into stacked boxes ending in sacks on 3rd and long all game long?
Nieman and Ash will have the D ready.. but if they are on the field the whole game this will be worse than we have reason to hope. Hope Gio is healthy because we need a high degree of deception on offense.. need to slow down their D and make them pay for playing over-aggressive. Quick screens, wheel routes, swing passes, TE seam routes.. punish them for over-playing the run and do it on the 1st possession.
