How long does he have after that to withdraw his name (if necessary)?
Hoping he plays for RU at least 1 more year.

Even IF he gets the nod, he is marginal at best. It would be way better for him to have a breakout year with a new/improved Rutgers and go higher in the draft...
I believe that first some committee of NBA scouts or executives are reviewing video of players who declared. Kiki Vandeweghe is on the committee I was told. Then they inform players of their draft stock. Then they invite players to the combine. How long does he have after that to withdraw his name (if necessary)?

It would make sense for him to stay, we want him to stay, you want him to stay, but unless you have inside info, you might want to consider saving the "trust me" statements. I have been around too long to listen to any trust me promises.Absolutely. The money is also better in those rounds. Trust me, Sanders is staying in Piscataway.
Melo Trimble was given a second round grade, Corey will be back.It would make sense for him to stay, we want him to stay, you want him to stay, but unless you have inside info, you might want to consider saving the "trust me" statements. fair pointMelo trimble also played against starters 100% of the time. Sanders frequently played against backups. Just the truth. Down 15-18 and you are not playing starters anymore.
I am a huge fan of Sanders. Just saying.
fair point
I would also add that his scoring stats were boosted by the lack of talent around him. Of course, his assist stats were reduced for the same reason.Meaning his stats are somewhat boosted for that reason.

True, but Melo also had a lot more talent on his team, more scoring options so Corey had to carry the load more than Melo most nights. I'm not discounting what either of them did, they are both really good players, I just think Melo is way more NBA ready and even he isn't a first rounder, and there is no chance Corey gets graded out higher and (like all rational posters here with an understanding that merely testing draft waters is nothing more than helpful evaluation) , he will return to the Banks.Meaning his stats are somewhat boosted for that reason.

That I cannot take a way from him though. You are right, but still. Against starters for the whole game, I think Sanders is a 8-10 ppg, 4 assist type of player. It doesn't matter what I think, though. I just hope Sanders rips it up next year.
Sanders will definitely score more than that against any competition
Let's hope the NBA does a better job on this than the NFL does. More than one Rutgers football player left early based on their NFL "evaluation" only be go undrafted in one instance and not get drafted until 7th round in the other, if I recall correctly.
Douby played 3 years in the NBA...and he has been by far our best player since Dahntay Jones, "our" last NBA player of consequence. The main reason he didn't make was because they wanted him to play point bc physically he couldn't guard most 2's...not because he was unwilling. Frankly, the fact he was a 1st round pick, led BE in scoring, should get his number up in the rafters. Those of you that think Sanders could be NBA ready now--again, think about Quincy Douby after his freshman year--way more ability than Sanders. After two years of contemplating transferring to Louisville, and considering jumping to the NBA, Quincy was drafted after his junior year. He had a brief fling in the NBA where he showed a complete inability--or even inclination--to play defense, and his volume shooting mentality was not nearly enough to keep him employed. Played only that fragment of a season in the NBA, and went to China, where he flourished. Since he played about a decade ago, many of the posters have no clue about him, but he was way more of a player than Sanders will ever be unless Sanders comes back, realizes how shallow his game is, and works really hard. He has far less talent than Douby did, but hopefully a better attitude than Douby's and a willingness to take instruction and work really hard will work wonders.

If you're talking about Coleman, I think he got a grade his RS Soph year and decided to return... but didn't get a new grade his RS Jr year when he decided to declare after an injury-impacted year.
