Not really. "Just as I expected" is way more accurate. Is it though?

Their 2 fans bought 25 tickets each! They wanted to make sure no one would block their view....
Unless they win the game, the AAC Championship Game is against a better opponent and a better location than at least one of their bowls. Here are the available bowls for the AAC:
12/19 Cure Bowl, Orlando (vs Sun Belt, probably Georgia Southern)
12/22 Boca Raton Bowl, Boca Raton (vs MAC, might be against one of the MAC Championship Game participants)
12/24 Hawaii Bowl, Honolulu (vs MWC)
12/26 St. Petersburg Bowl, St. Petersburg (vs C-USA)
12/30 Birmingham Bowl, Birmingham (vs SEC, possibly vs 6-6 Auburn)
NOTE:
USF is playing against a C-USA opponent in the Miami Beach Bowl on 12/21
Navy is playing against an ACC opponent in the Military Bowl on 12/28
Seriously - one would think that they have a couple of hundred fans in Texas, LA, etc, for whom this would be a good chance to see the team.50 tickets man...
If Temple wins, they are NOT playing in one of those bowls. Come on -- pay attention here.
I don't care about attendance much. Never blamed anyone for not going to a football or basketball game. I prefer to focus on what teams accomplish. After all, we're not talking about Temple as a candidate for the ACC, in which case 50 tickets would be relevant.
IT'S JUST FREAKING HILARIOUS.
I believe they brought about 15k fans to the bowl game in DC they played against UCLA about 4 or 5 years ago. Have to believe if they win they will send them to the Peach Bow in Atlanta, much better chance of them bringing 5-10k fans than to Phoenix. No matter happens, nothing could have been more embarrassing or hilarious than what happened to UConn when they played in the 2011 Fiesta Bowl. I believe that ended up costing them over $1.5 million because only 2,000 of their so-called fans bought tickets. If you are an executive at a NY6 bowl you are the biggest Houston Cougars fan in the world right now.
Sorry, but what? You are saying that Temple won't play in a NY6 bowl game if they win the AAC Championship? Help me see where I'm wrong:
1: A NY6 bowl bid is guaranteed for the highest ranked Group of 5 team. (http://espn.go.com/college-football...x-bowls-pool-college-football-semifinal-games)
"Also, the highest-rated champion from the "Group of Five" conferences -- the Big East, Conference USA, Mountain West, Sun Belt and Mid-American -- will receive an automatic berth in one of the six access bowls."
2: There are only three Group of 5 teams ranked in this week's poll.
#19 Houston
#22 Temple
#23 Navy
3: Navy is off this week and plays Army next week after the playoff selection. Navy has also already accepted a bid to the Military Bowl.
4: If #22 Temple defeats #19 Houston, they will be this highest ranked Group of 5 team. That gets them a NY6 bowl bid based on the rules identified in item #1.
Where am I wrong?
You are correct. If they win they go to the Peach or Fiesta, that is a fact. I am betting on the Peach in Atlanta.Sorry, but what? You are saying that Temple won't play in a NY6 bowl game if they win the AAC Championship? Help me see where I'm wrong:

No doubt about it. Houston has traditionally had decent support when they've had a winning program and I'd expect they will send a decent amount of fans to their bowl. The Peach is probably the destination for the winner of that game because the Fiesta took Boise State last season and the Cotton is a semi-final game this year. You're not. That's why I'm sure if you're the head of the Chick-Fil-A Bowl you're praying that Houston wins because otherwise you might have to tarp off the Temple side of the field.
We had more people over for Thanksgiving and they don't do Thanksgiving in New Zealand.
If you count the alpacas....Hilarious.
50 ?????? Really, Temple ? FIFTY ??????
They will get them at Wawa when they buy a hoagie and soda
