Who said fire Schiano..

Yes. Assholes need to be called out

Shelby, I disagree with most things you post, but I will say you are good at your word. Last year, after toxic post followed by toxic post, the team turned a corner and made bowl eligibility. You said you would silence the toxicity for the remainder of the season and you kept your word. Is there any chance of that happening this season now that we’ve made bowl eligibility after 10 games?
Thanks for remembering Shelby’s goodwill. He vowed to cease Schiano bashing for a lengthy period following last season, and he did.

Shelby isn’t there yet this year. We may again be 6-6/ 3-6 which was good enough for the cease fire last year but probably not again.

This was the supposed 9-10 win year many expected. But injuries weren’t the direct reason that won’t happen. It took the Monangai injury to force Schiano to open the playbook last week, and he kept it open this week.

If KM didn’t get hurt against USC Schiano would have stuck to the same vanilla, predictable offense and we’d be 4-6.

So Schiano philosophy is why we lost 4 straight. If we win the next two I’ll cut him slack but not yet.

There is no "fairness" argument here. Calling for someone to be fired because of a 4 game losing streak is moronic and people deserve to be called out for it.

Nobody said fire him. We all realize he’s owed too much for too long for that to have a snowball’s chance in hell of happening.

Yeah, some people did. There was even a thread about it.

Bingo!

Here's the thread:

Fire Schiano!!!

We also had a thread at the same time about firing the DC:

Fire f’ing Harasymiak! Our defense sucks balls!

Greg must have those coaches working OT. We look different and prepared in the last 2 games.

There was a priority/commitment in getting 1st downs and scoring points against Maryland. It was nice to see. We did revert to Schiano ball after the INT which made me nervous since Maryland is always looking for the big play TD.

Just like the crazies that wanted Schiano fired there were maybe 1-3 crazies that expected a 9-10 win season. 10 wins and we might be in the playoffs.

That was laughable from the get go. We brought back a bunch of players from a regular season 500 team and some thought we’d be the ‘85 Bears on defense. Ridiculous expectations.

No you just shit on a bunch of other things repeatedly
Ritchie and the mods let this guy shit all over these forums, hijack well meaning threads and add nothing of value to the community discussions.

A weird way of running a business. Why would anyone want to pay to use the premium board to subsidize his constant bullshit on the free boards?

There’s an old saying that people who repeat themselves are idiots. Shelby fits the bill.

I made a thread asking if GS was going to get fired, assuming we lost out this year (didn't happen fortunately) and struggled mightily next year (remains to be seen)

I don't go on message boards immediately after losses and post drivel - I take the time to digest things, put emotions aside, and try to think logically re. things I'm passionate about

Is GS owed a lot of money? You bet
And am I happy we hired GS 2.0 back? Absolutely
Do I think GS leads us to elite status? No (with the caveat, I hope I'm wrong)

As an outsider (Northwestern grad), this board is comical. Why in he!l would anyone want to fire Schiano on here. You guys are no longer an automatic win-blowout for others in the B1G. He's a solid coach and great hire. Jesus H Christ, only idiots want him gone
Because, with all due respect, we're not Northwestern, and have the ability to be elite on a consistent basis
Truth be told, NW does too w/the new world of NIL

Shelby screwed up in the above post: used HE for himself instead of third person/ Hoquat is amused😂

The goal isn’t to avoid auto loss blowouts. That bar is for losers. His job is to win.

At a minimum, especially given his generous contract, the goal must be .500 in league most years and occasionally 8 or 9 wins. If he wins out, then sure the detractors will quiet down.

He’s the beneficiary of more goalpost moving and excuses than anyone.

This was never a 9-10 win year unless you were absolutely stupid and didn't understand the roster which applies to a number of national names that were grasping for a preseason storyline.

Sorry you're too lazy to understand the team and believed what was written, that's on you for not doing the work as a fan, if you actually are one.

Shelby didn’t expect 9 or 10. Most here did due to the schedule.

Read preseason mag and scout mentioned Toure and how well at combine he would do. His loss was major.

Not exactly, most between the pay and free boards were in the 7-8 win range only a few predicted 9-10 and then we had the poster boy for not understanding the roster predicting we were an impact TE away from a national championship.
