Who thought this AM was Christmas and the 4th of July rolled into one?

There is nothing like waking up and my very first thought is...did that really happen yesterday? Yes! We won! We dominated! That revenge win was better than the Puma sneakers under the tree back when I was a kid.

Thanks Pike! Merry Christmas Scarlet Nation! Can’t wait to open up our next present!

Yeah one of the best road wins in our history. Played so confidently and also with intense defense.
Another nice benefit from yesterday’s play, was that I now welcome any team playing us zone. We carved up Iowa’s weak zone as Myles passed to the wings from the high post. We also use the high low to the baseline for an easy layup . The threes came off of great passing from the post. Now Iowa is one of the worst defensive teams in the conference but I am really confident we will make teams pay.
As great as Ron was yesterday , as he will unlikely shoot well every game , even shooting half as good gives you double figures every night. I love how he attacks the basket and under control. Another offensive weapon, so Geo, Eugene, Montez and Ron are now on other teams scouting reports, making us more dangerous offensively . A nice pleasant gift.
Talking about gifts, what we got from Issa yesterday was better than Christmas. I guess this was what Pike was expecting early on and never got , but after being in a 2 month shell and breaking out yesterday , is another offensive gift that might be the difference between wins and losses against the top teams. If Issa can give us even 10 minutes of tough defense , rebounding and hit 1 or 2 threes as instant offense , that would be huge.
A lot of nice gifts as these freshman are growing right in front of our eyes.
