No more spring awards . Why not honor former ru greats like frank burns and others by changing the names of the scarlet lot , purple lot , to the burns blue lot , schiano scarlet lot , etc ? Or something of that variation . Ok maybe we don't want to honor schiano yet , but you get the point .
It's easy to do and these are lots that only exist in name on football game days . Maybe the light blue lot will get a litte more respect if if it's the Carli Lloyd lot !

I move to rename the Black Lot the Schiano lot. Let's be honest, if it wasn't for Schiano, we wouldn't need the Black Lot.

Also, it's considered "premium" parking, and it probably is for people stuck on the RAC, but anyone who's been booted to Black will tell you it's way overpriced, and you should shoot higher.

Suggestion from Kyle Flood;

So the RAC could be renamed the Rettig lot. "Rarely used, only for short periods, and only when you absolutely have to use it"

Blue lot the Could be the Laviano Lot, used every game, night, day, rain, sun, whether it sucks or not.

The black lot could be the 2015 offense lot "in and out real quickly"

Julie was working on a plan to have each lot named after a corporate sponsor. I haven't heard if that's still in the works.

The obvious problem with this: which company would want its name on a lot that's a 30-minute walk to the stadium?

have the lots sponsered by beer companies..Bud lot,Corona lot,Coors lot! :beer::cheers2:

There are posters who'd bitch if the lots weren't named after their favorite, obscure craft brews.

Fan #1; What lot did you get?

Fan#2: I had enough points to get into Joneses Honey Wheat Cinnamon Spice Blueberry Tangerine 30 Day IPA.

My understanding it was something closer to what the OP suggested.

More of a Rutgers Athletics/athlete connection thing than a corporate one.

You have to keep the color designations so you can easily see where the lots are on a map.

Look what naming a bathroom on the New Jersey Turnpike did for Vince Lombardi's reputation. Now Clara Barton... that's another story.

If you're going to rename the lots, name them after the NJ Transit rail lines. I don't think of a 7x a year non-permanent parking lot site as much of an honor for the people you're seeking to honor.

Leave it up to you guys and take something that works and is simple to understand and turn it into a complex mishmash of confusion.
