Does anyone believe that RU will have a winning season, thus warranting s return by Flood? Why not terminate his for cause, instead of just suspend him. Save some salary, start the job search sooner and have the chance of recruiting a class for 2016.

Once again, RU can't do anything right.

Because probably not gonna fire him. If your good at reading between the lines, this appeared obvious. Barchi mentioned Flood "earning back trust". Unless he (Barchi) is the ultimate poker player, he's already shown his cards. Flood is here to stay, unfortunately

A couple of weeks ago I would have replied that it would be inappropriate to even consider such a move. But, after seeing what has transpired today, I tend to think that his eventual dismissal is just about inevitable. His sanctions may not even be finished for all we know. The program is swirling the bowl and I cannot see much of an opportunity for a rebound. If he is going to pretty much be out of the running of the program, may as well save the money. And, this is coming from a Flood supporter.

Just a guess - but legal may be saying that it would be difficult to match the violations in this specific report with the general standard for "for cause" ...at this moment ....

... however, Flood is by no means out of the woods - remember - the violations in this report only pertain to events associated with one particular student athlete ... there was passing mention by Flood of other times that he has spoken to professors - - and there was a reference in this report to an academic support person indicating to Flood that they had a list of other football players that they were working with (did Flood seek to double check the progress of these players?) ....

Flood could be a dead man if there is a second report that follows up on various concerning points (not specifically related to Barnwell ) that were revealed/uncovered in the course of the Barnwell investigation ... if it turned up even mild transgressions, it would be toxic - it would be a crappy way to go - and it would look a bit like double jeopardy - - and that would be why both parties would be motivated to negotiate a settled separation....

Exactly, nailed it.

Flood is toast. (I no longer support this administration)

Barchi knew of this in August??? Barchi and Hermann let him continue to coach??? Barchi and Hermann knew nothing of the police investigation into the players???

Flood, himself, helped Barnwell with a paper!?!? "Geez, thanks Coach, you sure are a real whiz at punctuation and stuff." Are you f---ing kidding me?!?!

Flood sent emails using his private email with the stated intent to conceal his emails from possible OPRA requests?!?! Are you f---ing kidding ME!!!!

I'm not saying that they are bad people, but the behavior is arrogant madness and incompetence.
