There are 2 NL games scheduled for that day.TBS would probably want Mets-Dodgers in prime time.

Dude we had 46,000 for Kansas. It's going to be full.

I wouldn't count on it. Still a lot of unsold seats in the north end zone and both upper decks. We should get in the neighborhood of 50K but unless RU does something fishy with the unsold tickets the game won't sell out.

They overreached with the prices a bit.

Like I said earlier in the week, aside from the OSU game, the box office prices are too high for all other games.

We will hopefully be asking the same question the night of the tOSU game. $$$$

Unfortunately, I'll cop to being a casualty. Got Mets tickets. If they're at home, I have to skip the Rutgers game. Also, I live in NYC so it's way more convenient.

lololololol....com'on, it's ONE Met divisional playoff game, not Game 7 of the World Series!

Ask yourself this question "What team and sport will I miss more during its offseason?" and that will tell you where and what game you'll be watching.

GO RU

Well on Saturdays I sure do miss College Football. But after the World Series I do miss baseball a lot. I watch baseball every night so finding something sports wise during the week is tough.

Just comes down to which event you'd rather be at, I guess.

Mets fan here for 33 years, who was lucky to score tickets for NLDS home game 2. So as long as the Mets hold on to home field advantage, that game will be at Citi Field Saturday, 10/10. Wouldn't miss it for the world, honestly. But to each their own.

Baseball is boring if you ask me. When can the crowd get loud and really affect the game like in football on third downs. When is it exciting, after a home run? Unless the game is a 1 or 2 run game and it's the ninth inning, is there ever even any suspense? Yawn. Football atmosphere for pregame and the first quarter will be 10x better than the entire Mets game.

Baseball if fun to play but is often boring as hell to watch. Which is why baseball fans get so hung up on arcane statistics. You have to have something to talk about during the game.

Now is the time to drastically lower the ticket prices for the Michigan State game, not two days before kickoff. Most people need a week or more to make plans to attend a game. They can't just go on a whim.

Whatever. No suspense in baseball? LOL.

I'd watch the spring game before game 7 of the World Series.

Baseball is the ultimate just look at the box score sport.

As long as the RUTGERS Team attends and is ready to take care of business the stands could be empty as far as I am concerned.

I'm not actually going to miss MSU for the Mets game, but the fact that it's something I even considered - vs a home prime time game against the #2 team in the country - was shocking to me.

There are approximately 8.9 million people in NJ and fans are trying to come up excuses for the public not attending a football game against the number 2 team in the country. This is just another reason to say that Rutgers isn't ready for prime time football.

At least we can't use The Hunt as an excuse - it's this weekend and I'm dumbfounded by the lack of threads on it.

Sadly, I'll be missing the MSU game, but not for baseball or any other sport (would never happen). It's my 35-year HS reunion, which I also happen to be DJ-ing. Date was set without my consultation, lol. Will try to DVR and watch when I get home, but not sure I can really do that, as I hate not knowing what's going on in real time.

56-14 is boring too.

Lifelong Mets fan who will be at the Rutgers game. But's let not make this a "what's more exciting" argument.

MSU stomping a mudhole in us isn't exactly partying like it's 1999...

There is no way any baseball game, other than maybe a world series game, can ever be more interesting than a rutgers football big 10 game, no matter how bad the team is.

If the team was undefeated, as it would be with a competent coach with discipline, this would not be a thread.

That 50,000 are going to show up for a near certain curbstomping actually tells you how awesome this fanbase is.

It could be mets Yankees game 7 on Oct 24 and there still is no way I'm missing the osu game.

See that's just setting yourself up for either regret or misery.

I'd take a competitive RU football game over virtually any other game (save for something like Yankees Game 7), but not the one sided beat downs we can expect from the top teams in the B1G.

This is easy.

Assuming the Mets game starts at 7PM, we can catch a few innings before going into the stadium - this is what satellite TV at tailgate is all about.

If the RU - MSU game gets 56-14 boring, then we can PIP both of them while we drink.

Yep. Definitely #FirstWorldProblems

Y'know what tho...there is no outcome of the mets/Yankees game that I would possibly regret missing. But IF RU can shock the world and beat OSU, I'd never forgive myself for the rest of my life for staying home.
