We are 12 games in with 19 left to play. How many wins can this team manage based upon what we have seen?

I think they get 17 or 18. I was generous and voted 18. However, I think they are not really on bubble with 18 wins given out of conference record.

Well the good news is that we have been in EVERY game we have played except for OSU so there is a chance any given night. In these close games, I am afraid we lack bball IQ to come out on the winning side (final possession of K State, Princeton as example). We got lucky it seems versus ND and Seton Hall.

That said, we have the ability to win any given night. January will be the story for this team and the results that month will really dictate what this team has in the tank. All starts with beating Columbia and that right now looks like a tall test. Sad part is we should beat that team without any coaching and just having our players show up on the court....

I think we win 5 of 9 B1G home games and 2 of 9 B1G road games making us 8-12 in the B1G. We beat Columbia for 15 wins and lose in the B1G 1st round (if we qualify). 15-16 and season over.

However, this whole thing of being in every game and never putting a team away or having the ability to pull away from a team is a double edged sword. We can’t defend, can’t get stops and this is why we can never build a comfortable lead. The double edged sword is this comes back to bite you as it did with Kennesaw, Texas A&M, and Princeton. We managed to pull off wins against SHU and ND. The double edged sword will continue to hurt us in Big 10 play as this team can not stop anyone defensively. I see a team that ends up around .500 like last year’s team. Last year’s team could not play offense, this year’s team can not play defense……same sh$t, different toilet. But this season should have us much more angry and frustrated considering Dylan and Ace are here.
