You don't really need "clearance". For 20 bucks I'll tell ya about a hole in the fence.
Many holes along the Henry Hudson Bike Trail. Or approach from the water and climb the pier. OP can let us know how that works out.
On big sailing days out of Highlands one of the fleet invariably winds up on the business end of a bow-mounted .50 for being insider the buoys.
Amazing how large the complex is. I live near the East end. Travel Hope Road quite a bit, and spend time at the Monmouth County Fire Academy, which I think is at the far West end.

Back in the early 1980s I would attend meetings of the Monmouth County BSA Board as a youth rep. There was a discussion about how to keep deer hunters off the camp property in Upstate NY. The then commander of Earle was a board member and after listening to the other members talk for a bit he says. "I've got barbed wire fences, armed guards and a detachment of Marines. And we can't keep the poachers off the base." With that they moved on to other topics.
I've been trying to get a civilian job there or McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst for some time now. No dice

Reversed- Ft Monmouth is defunct. Earle is active.
Technically a bit of the Earle Reservation abuts the Camp Charles Wood portion of what was Ft Monmouth.
Thanks, Yes I had it reversed. I know there R books to govt jobs. From that Big east job fair there was a company with a weird name that assisted the families of active military-vaguely like IC4H.
