WNG has success gone to Richie Lewis ?

I think ya'll are overanalyzing his shirt choice. Onto the finals.

Wasn’t analyzing. Pointing out a fact. Found it strange he’s on the world stage, all eyes on him and he chooses to wear a JUCO shirt instead of repping the school that he’s on and the coaches who helped him get to where he is.

Recruiting is a real thing. Whether you want to believe that or not. You want to start getting top level guys from other states? Starts with your winners and how they represent their schools

'In the gold medal match, Lewis will face Vinod Kumar of India, last year's 70kg silver medalist at the senior Asian championships. '

"Joey McKenna, a 2016 All American currently ranked fifth at 141lbs for the Ohio State Buckeyes, will be first up for Team USA. His 65kg bronze medal match against Heorhi Kaliyeu (BLR) will be the second bout of the medal round.

Next up is Richie Lewis at 70kg. The nation's seventh ranked 157 pounder is the sixth bout, taking on Vinod Kumar (IND) for the gold medal.

The eighth match of this session will be between Illinois' two-time NCAA champ Isaiah Martinez and U23 Euro champ Avtandil Kentchadze (GEO) for the 74kg bronze.

Finishing us off with the 11th match of the night is Ty Walz, a three-time All American for Virginia Tech now battling it out with Chaoqiang Yang (CHN) for third place at 97kg."

I am assuming that was his Juco college or he is somehow connected to those guys too. Do you think the guys we are recruiting don’t know he wrestles for Rutgers?

Also, why didn’t we send a coach out there with him?
