Women's Soccer Big Ten Semi's

I know its only Tuesday but we got a great break in the tournament when Purdue knocked off Wisconsin although it's still no cakewalk;
Lets discuss Friday's game first; I thought we played one of our best games of the year against Michigan and I think the second half in that game was definitely our best half of the year with Brittany in Midfield we controlled the possession and attacked the whole second half
One major note is we really have to Amirah going she has not really had a good season scoring as she has 9 goals but only four non penalty kicks so we need more scoring from her; for you experts any suggestions I actually think she should be more in midfield so she can get the ball in space more or she needs to receive the ball moving forward more as she tend to receive the ball alot with her back to the defense and has sometimes 3 girls on her and has to beat 3 girls just to get a shot off; I am sure there will be more posting before Friday but see you at the game!!

Dentist--bit of a different take on Amirah. Agree that she is not scoring quite as much but I believe she is playing better soccer. Told a couple of guys several games ago that if she didn't start sharing the ball this team wasn't going anywhere. Right about then she started doing just that & we became much more dangerous as a front line & a team. The team really began to click as a unit about then also.They are now looking for each other & playing for each other. Amirah has lapses once in a while but IMO has markedly improved for the better in that area. I know her goal total includes PK goals but I wouldn't dismiss them. You have to read the goalie if possible, strike the ball well & have ice water in the veins. I've seen many missed by RU in past seasons. As for her at middie, Mike tried that one game for a half or a half+ & she looked lost & hardly touched the ball. He then moved her back to forward.

I definitely don’t dismiss those PK’s as she is awesome on them but as killer bee as stated also I do believe she holds on to ball a little too long. As for midfield I may no have realized that or seen those games
