Women's soccer recruting

Looks good, with a couple of very highly regarded players on the list. Welcome to Rutgers, ladies!

Having your head coach (Mike O'Neil) also serve as head of PDA's girls division was bound to have a positive impact on recruiting. However, it is odd that the only girls he got from NJ played for PDA.

With that said, the girls that played for the PDA ECNL club are likely very strong - only ~50 of ECNL teams in the country, so they are very selective. Match Fit is the other club in NJ that has an ECNL team.

Overall, this looks like a great class and O'Neil is proving himself to be a great coach. Should be fun!

We need to get an Mike O'Neill on the men's side. This is seriously impressive!

Women's Soccer, 2 years straight in the B1G championship game. Only lost this year's on a goal with 4 mins left. We are soon going to bring that one home!

Great class. I know all the coaches are very high on it. Don't forget, we had a very large & talented 2016 class, many of whom played a great deal of soccer & got invaluable experience. This will be a very young team. Believe we will only have 2 senior field players Christy Monroy & Courtney Norton, both of whom saw significant action & 2 junior field players, Adora Monome, who saw a good deal of playing time, & the indefatigable Kenie Wright, a two year starter.

This just shows why we need a new men's coach. Should have been after last year. Unless we go to the NCAA tournament, we ned to replace Donnigan.

O'Neill is showing that it can be done. We KNOW it can be done on the men's side, because Reasso did it.

Rutgers should be a top 10 program in the country. At the very least, top 20, with significant time spent in the Top 10-15.

We have way too much history, and locally grown talent to be as underperforming as we have over the last 20 years.

Great class! First National HS Player of the year since Sue Wickes for WBB (she was also national college player of the year at RU and a good player in the early years of the WNBA).

Have you guys noticed that every recruit says the family atmosphere the team conveys on their visits were a big part of choosing Rutgers?

What a great statement for the current players and coaches.. to foster such a family feeling that recruits can see it on their first visit.

Amazing group of young women. Now if only football and basketball could recruit like this.
