Samantha Valliant at 1:19 of the 1st period. Colby Ciarroca & Madison Tiernan with the assists. Stats show we out shot them 9-8. Believe they had one more on goal or we may have been even. They out cornered us 6-0. Dangerous way to live there. However a win in our first BIG. 8 and 0 overall. Way to go Ladies.

Next up Illinois this Thurs. the 24th, 8pm on BTN. Go RU.

We had been discussing whether Coach O'Neil would shorten his bench with the arrival of BIG play. Looks like he really didn't. Still played 19, excluding keeper. Had been playing 20, excluding keeper. O'Neill must have confidence in his subs. Good for us in the long run.

Saw that Brianne Reed only played 45 min. Know she started. Looks like she may have come out after the 1st half. She came out of the U Conn game toward the end of the 1st half with a hammie. Hope she is going to be OK. She & Erica Skroski are the rocks at center D.
