1-0 LePlant in 82nd! OSU sits atop the conference standings with 21 points. Would be a huge win if we can hold on!

Great win! A puncher's chance sums this up. OSU had the better chances (we didn't have a shot in the first half) but Murphy had an excellent game to keep us in it long enough for something good to happen, and that good thing was Laplant who coolly made the most of her one chance. Kenny Wright and Ali had good games. And since they try to play out of the back right Norton gets a large number of touches and is frequently under pressure but is very solid.

Great time to get our confidence back, awesome weekend!

Thought that Christy Monroy & Chantelle Swaby had very good games as well. Colby played well & is having a terrific season. Overall the team played well against a good side.

The team held together through a tough 1st half. In the 2nd we started playing in the OSU end more consistently. Having outstanding goal tending helps but this team is gritty and earned a very satisfying Senior Day victory against a team that I like to beat almost as much as I like to beat Penn State.

I have little soccer knowledge, but watch every women's game. All season long it has seemed to me that they have no offense because they are constantly trying to force feed the ball up to Amirah Ali. I realize that she is a huge threat, but it almost seems as if her presence throws the team out of sync.

The team lists 28 players if I count right. There a 4 Seniors and 3 Juniors (and one of those is Casey Murphy). It takes time for an offense to gel. In the mean time they're focused on D and it pays off when you shut out PSU and OSU in one week. Lionel Messi has a lot of the offense run through him too. RU has every reason to be optimistic with this young squad and it's going to happen for them with a few more games together under their belt. If I was coaching I'd have them packed back in a 4-3-3. But I'm a little bit of a chicken.

Casey is amazing, but I didn't realize she was a senior. I thought last year was a red shirt year. I'll have to ask her granddad. He lives next door.

You are right, she is a redshirt junior but she is leaving early to declare for the NWSL draft. My guess is that she is focused on making the main USWNT team.
Good for her if that is the plan. Perhaps she gets a shot internationally in women’s Premier League. Definitely hope she makes USWNT

For those looking forward to 2018 incoming class

Commit Emily Harrigan was selected to the roster of the All America Game
and
commit Mya Daniels of Long Branch had10 goals last week and 34 , so far, for the year.
