Even with the questionable calls the Texans had chances to score or stop Kansas City from scoring.Missing a extra point and a field goal didn't help their cause.Kansas City offense isn't as potent this season but the defense is very strong.
Not saying I agree, but the argument could be made that keeping Taylor Swift involved in the playoffs brings more eyeballs that wouldn’t normally be there than anything else.Conspiracy theorists need to provide a motive for the NFL to favor the Chiefs - and don't say the three peat because the theories have been here before this season. If the NFL is going to try to control the narrative why are their largest market teams like the Jets, Giants, Bears, Cowboys not benefitting?
I don’t think the NFL needs help with ratings. Not saying I agree, but the argument could be made that keeping Taylor Swift involved in the playoffs brings more eyeballs that wouldn’t normally be there than anything else.
They don’t, but she’s added viewers that wouldn’t normally watch. My local dick’s (in California) had a Taylor/travis mannequin display at one point. Thus, the conspiracy theory.I don’t think the NFL needs help with ratings.
441.17 million Swifities worldwide all watching to get a glimpse of their Goddess that normally wouldn't watch. I'd say that's a pretty good motivation. Those eyeballs are worth millions upon millions to the NFL and yes, the owners want to squeeze every dime they can out of the world.Conspiracy theorists need to provide a motive for the NFL to favor the Chiefs - and don't say the three peat because the theories have been here before this season. I find that sports conspiracy theories are just convenient crutches for fans who simply hate certain teams. They don’t, but she’s added viewers that wouldn’t normally watch. My local dick’s (in California) had a Taylor/travis mannequin display at one point. Thus, the conspiracy theory.
I don’t disagree at allI find that sports conspiracy theories are just convenient crutches for fans who simply hate certain teams.
And on cue, you support my point. 😂That ruffing the passer was brutal. KC does get a lot of calls. In the NFC it’s the eagles getting all the calls. Been that way for years. There fans won’t admit it though.
Or a signed Caitlin Clark basketball.I won
I wonder if they got comp tickets to a Taylor Swift concert
This. It’s a business. Most leagues have ways to sprinkle stardust on their pedestal players that bring the viewers.
I begrudgingly agree, but some of the calls they got were just eyerolling. Mahomes and the Chiefs/Swift are media darlings, refs are not immune to society's bias. They see it every day just like you or me. So maybe not an NFL thing, but give the pretty boy the benefit of the doubt, is IMO definitely prevalent.I find that sports conspiracy theories are just convenient crutches for fans who simply hate certain teams.
You know what’s even more brutal and a sad reflection on society ? That someone thinks the word is ‘ruffing’. That’s only correct in a different context (different sport). That ruffing the passer was brutal. KC does get a lot of calls. In the NFC it’s the eagles getting all the calls. Been that way for years. Ehich team is Pacheco on again?Good to know it's not just me thinking the Texans are getting the short end of the stick.
Ruffing?isn't thatwhen dogs are barking? You know what’s even more brutal and a sad reflection on society ? That someone thinks the word is ‘ruffing’. That’s only correct in a different context (different sport).
Good point. So that’s a second connotation. The football penalty post, though, is embarrassing.Ruffing?isn't thatwhen dogs are barking?
I like him, doesn't mean I have to root for the Chiefs to win (there are other Knights in the NFL, although I think they are all out of the playoffs now), or that I can't watch a game and think the Chiefs get a favorable whistle.Ehich team is Pacheco on again?
Agree, I'm rooting for them.Just need Josh Allen to break thru and a lot of this goes away.
He is very likeable and the more you learn about him the better it gets.
nah root for loyal son pacheco for another ring!Just need Josh Allen to break thru and a lot of this goes away.

I randomly watched the bills 30 for 30 about the Super Bowl losses a few weeks ago. Hard to not root for themJust need Josh Allen to break thru and a lot of this goes away.

Amazing how jealous so many people are of Mahomes.
He's the best quarterback I've ever seen. Not sure why one roots against him.
I once had a dog named Ruff. And on cue, you support my point. 😂
Give it a few minutes, the really stupid cliches will start coming out.Conspiracy theorists need to provide a motive for the NFL to favor the Chiefs - and don't say the three peat because the theories have been here before this season. I’m not jealous of or against the Chiefs.Amazing how jealous so many people are of Mahomes.

I don't think many are jealous of Mahomes. And nobody is against Pacheco. KC has gotten some sweet officials calls. And the media has made them and Taylor Swift the darlings of this season. But that doesn't mean they are against specific individuals.
Yeah...they're shooting for their third straight Super Bowl win.I’m not jealous of or against the Chiefs.
Would like to see Josh Allen there too someday.
Agree with @mdk01 here too…
I was just agreeing with the bolded part of his post. Which is why I did that.Yeah...they're shooting for their third straight Super Bowl.
It must be the refs.
I don't think many are jealous of Mahomes. And nobody is against Pacheco.
And you have folks in this thread claiming that the Eagles get every call too, even though it was pretty even last Sunday and they had plays overturned and called back (rightfully so). My brother-in-law was driving me nuts on Thanksgiving night complaining about Green Bay getting every call at home vs. the Dolphins. The truth is that the Dolphins were making boneheaded plays because they were freezing their balls off. We've heard this crap for years about the Cowboys. The conspiracy clowns (especially Eagles fans) never look for the real facts. In the last 4 seasons they have been 1st, 8th, 3rd and 3rd in penalties. But forget facts...
People just need excuses. Especially when they lose the bet lol!
Well the Eagles are penalized less. They are 10th from the bottom in penalties this year. However if you listen to their fans, which I am forced to, you would think they are leading the league in penalties called. 🙄And you have folks in this thread claiming that the Eagles get every call too, even though it was pretty even last Sunday and they had plays overturned and called back (rightfully so). I find that when I'm at the RAC, as a fan, I let the emotion get the better of me and bitch about refs (improving a little there) but when I look at the replay, I realize they had the call right or at worst, it was borderline.
Not this Eagles fan. But I understand your pain living in enemy territory. Think those Cinderella Giant runs in 2007 and 2011 were a picnic up this way? 😁Well the Eagles are penalized less.
