Not to over look Maryland, but I think the Princeton Match could be interesting. Not sure if they are at full strength and they do have two matches the day before, at 1pm and 4pm. Making weight on consecutive days can't be fun, ie. Nebraska having to wrestle us the day after they made weight for Maryland.

Match is at Princeton but closer than Rutgers for me so I will be in attendance (will also be at the Maryland match).

I will be there obviously as well. The coaches really expect a very tough match against Princeton and have a great deal of respect for their program. So they are concerned. I will put a preview up soon.

NJ State Champ Scheifler, East Brunswick, could AA this March, seems Glen Ridge's Joe Dibuque , 2x NCAA Champ, helping this team a lot.

Yeah, I looked at the match ups and Perez at 149 hasn't wrestled since late November. If he is in the lineup it is going to be tight, if he is out we should be in good shape.

I know some the Princeton guys who wrestled at the midlands head to head with us ate our lunch, but not certain how many of them were wrestling unattached.

I will be going as well. Laster shouldn't be over looked. AA beat him on a RT point 3-2. There was also some back and forth with Perrotti and Perez on twitter. AP took offence of there promo video promoting the match with RU. They used video clips of our dual 2 years ago at Princeton. Rutgers won the match but only used video of the 2 or 3 matches that they won. AP fired a tweet saying they should have used video of the other 8 matches. I loved it. Should be fun.

Princeton is a very tough matchup for us and their record is quite deceiving as they are 2 wins and 5 losses. However, they lost to Navy where their best guy Harner was winning in the 3rd period and got pinned turning the match into Navy's favor. They lost the match by 2 points. They lost by 3 to Binghampton by 3 while forfeiting 125 since the 125 pounder went up to 133 and lost. Jon Schleifer at 174 did not wrestle in either and that was a big difference. He was second at Midlands and expected back for F & M and Penn this Saturday.
Here is their record:
Hofstra w 33-9
Nebraska L 12-21
Illinois L 15-20
Northwestern W 24-18
Lehigh L 3-33
Navy L 16-18
Binghampton L 15-18

Lineups
125 McCabe vs Pat D'Arcy
133 Giraldo vs Trey Aslanian
141 Ashnault vs Jordan Laster
149 Dippery vs Mike D'Angelo
157 Lewis vs Francesco Fabozzi
165 Perrotti vs Judd Ziegler
174 Bakuckas vs Jon Schliefer
184 Gravina vs Abram Ayala
197 Hrymack vs Brett Harner
285 Smith vs Ray O'Donnell

This is a team with a mixture of underclassmen and upperclassmen. Ashnault beat Laster last year by 1 point in a very tough match. Dippery gets a very good freshman in D'Angelo. Ziegler is a senior so he will give AP a battle. Schliefer will be favored over Phil as will Ayala and Harner so it could come down to 285 with Smith and an improving Ray O'Donnell. PU would like nothing better than to knock off a rival and ranked Gig Ten opponent.

I would think we're favored at 133, 141, 157, 165 & HWT & Princeton is favored at 149 & 197. 125, 174 & 184 are toss ups...149 maybe is too. Can't get pinned here.

I remember the Ashnault/Laister (Spelling) match last year.

Laister was good on feet (very quick) but Ashnault dominated him on the mat and rode him out for W.

Just my opinion but I don't think 174 or 184 are toss ups. I think Princeton has to be favored in those matches. Doesn't mean we couldn't pull the upset in them.

I would call McCabe the favorite at 125 but think D'arcy is looking good and could pull the upset.

Again just my opinion.

I agree Obats. Schlifer is favored at 174 and I would say Ayala is favored at 184. Right now it looks like a 6-4 us or 5-5. Some of these like 125 and 141 are very close so anything can happen. We need to win the first 3 or 4 or this could be a shocker.

Fair enough

I am going to try and make it to Princeton.
Hopefully my honey do list is not too long.

Trust me, the coaching staff is clearly being ware! They are not taking PU lightly and fear this opponent. We need our best to come away with a victory.

Princeton crushed F & M and beat Penn for the first time in years. D'Arcy is back at 125 and they wrestled Aslandian and Adkins at 133. Durso beat Laster 2-0. Perez is back at 149 and Krop is back at 157 so that makes PU much tougher. Schliefer lost to Kent at 274 and Ayala lost at 184. Harner won by major and O'Donnell won at 285.

Maybe I am drinking the RU Kool-Aid but I think we win the toss ups and come out on top 24-11. We win 7 of 10 matches with Gravina having a statement win. Love the way he wrestles, RU fans aren't going to want to hear this but he has a little Thomas Gilman in him.

I think he means the fact that Gravina is a very physical, punishing wrestler...He is downright brutal on top when he gets his boots in and cranks that power half....Gravina doesn't just beat you..He beats your will to win....which is very Gilman like....Difference is, Gravina doesnt pull the punk shit Gilman does...and he flips the switch off after...

I don't know why the online coverage can't at least start 5 minutes early.....
Doesnt matter if it is Ivy, B10 or even midlands....frustrating

1st Period: Strong finish for Gravina with a last-second TD. He's up, 4-1.

2nd Period: Gravina with the rideout. He leads 4-1 and has 2:10 of RT. Starts the third on bottom.

184 Pounds: Nicholas Gravina (#RUWR) with a signature win to start the dual! He beats No. 19 Abram Ayala (PU), 7-1! No. 12 RU leads, 3

197 Pounds: Hayden Hrymack (#RUWR) vs. No. 11 Brett Harner (PU).

The early computers date back to Princeton in 1937. They sure have come a long way!! $$$$

2nd Period: Hrymack gets back into the match with an escape and TD. He trails Harner, 5-4.
