Starting off at 125 as Malcolm Robinson takes on James Ryan of LIU to kick off the 2019 - 20 season.

Note - Nic Aguilar did not way in for Rutgers today
 
Robinson in on a takedown off the whistle. 2 - 0 Robinson as he goes to work on top
 
Robinson lets Ryan go. 2-1 Robinson, as he takes blood time with 1:25 remaining in the first period.

Action resumes and no score is made the rest of the period. Robinson defers, and Ryan chooses to start the second period on top.
 
Ryan clinging tight with double boots, but Robinson manages to get to his feet. Ryan hit with stalling before returning Robinson
 
Ryan riding tough with a boot and a power half. Robinson hit with a stall warning as he lays flat.
 
Ryan rides out the rest of period, racking up 36 seconds of riding time. Robinson still leads 2-1, and chooses neutral for the third period.
 
Yikes, Robinson got absolutely dominated on the bottom.
 
Robinson in on a low level high C, but Ryan scrambles to a boot scoot. Sequence ends in a stalemate. 2-1 still, with 50 seconds left in the period.
 
Sammy Alvarez out at 133 to make his college debut against Michael Blando
 
Alvarez gives up an escape after a good scramble by Blando. 2-1 Alvarez with 1:45 remaining in the first
 
Alvarez gets another take on the edge off of Blando's scramble. He rides out the remainder of the first period with a 4-1 lead.

Alvarez starts the second period on bottom with 44 seconds of riding time
 
Alvarez hits a switch into a double leg, and gets the reversal. He extends the lead to 6-1
 
Alvarez on a tilt to earn 4 back points. Blando manages to make it back to his feet, and escapes. Alvarez leads 10-2 with over a minute of RT. 30 seconds left in the second period
 
Alvarez being aggressive, almost secures another take, but time ran out. Blando chooses neutral to start the third period. 10-2 Alvarez with 1:05 of RT
 
Alvarez on a low single, and creates another scramble. He comes out the backdoor for another takedown. 14-2 with 53 seconds remaining
 
Jojo Aragona takes the mat to make his Rutgers debut against Anthony Dushaj at 141 lbs
 
Aragona cuts Dushaj, but immediately is back in a shot for another score. 4-1 Aragona early in the first
 
Aragona lets Dushaj go again, 4-2 Aragona with 30 remaining in the period
 
No score by either wrestler as the period ends. Aragona takes a 4-2 lead and 56 seconds of RT into the second. Dushaj chooses defense to start the second period.
 
Aragona lets Dushaj go again, but quickly is back in for a takedown. 6-3 Aragona
 
Aragona rides out the rest of the period, adding to his riding time. He will take a 6-3 lead into the third period with 2:51 of RT. Aragona will start the third period on bottom.
 
Jojo quickly reverses Dushaj, and then releases him. Aragona gives up a takedown, cutting his lead to 8-6
 
Aragona reverses Dushaj to extend his lead to 10-6. 35 seconds remaining
 
Aragona wins 11-6

Tried something funky in 3rd and gave up a TD....Over 2 minutes of riding time.
