We will find out today at 1pm est. I say yes McCabe does get a bid and we send all 10 to NCAA's.

I posted this in the Sunday thread, but here it is again on point:

Looking at the auto qualifiers for 125, McCabe has a decent chance at a bid.
There are 5 bids available. David Terao (American), Zeke Moisey (WVU, MF out of the 7/8 match), Shakur Laney (Ohio), Vito Pasone (Appy St) and McCabe are the top 5 by RPI. Other notables are: Dalton Macri (Cornell), Thornton (Purdue), Rogaliner (Mich St), Kyle Akins (Buffalo).

Obviously, Moisey (if healthy) and Terao will likely be selected. I think McCabe may have a better resume than Rogaliner (McCabe beat in MSU duals) and didn't face Thornton. Macri was rated around 20 in coached poll, but was not RPI rated.

125 at-larges most likely coming out at 5:30pm. in the mean time, I've noticed that Hrymack essentially ended the career of Ohio State's Mark Martin. I don't say that to gloat at all, just to point out how ruthless the sport can be, and how no one should take anything for granted. Martin qualified for the NCAAs the last 3 years, and qualified a spot for the Big Ten this year, but lost in the consolation quarterfinals to Hrymack 1-0 and finished 7th when there were only 6 AQs at 197. Martin, a senior, then did not receive one of the 4 at large bids today. He was able to end his career on a win (in the 7/8 match).

Nothing but respect for the wrestler, just found it interesting.

Wow. Congrats to Sean. I am surprised and extremely happy to hear this. In a few short years we have gone from being lucky to have a couple guys still wrestling on day 2 of the EIWAs, to having everyone alive on day 2 of the Big Tens, and all ten wrestlers going to the NCAAs. Incredible stuff.

We have indeed arrived fellas.

I'll be at MSG in the RU section Thursday afternoon but can't make the social. 2 late nights the weekend of my wife's birthday so can't push my luck!

WOW.....125, 133 and 149 will face the number 1 wrestler in the weight class if they get to the second round

Smith gets Coon second round...ug
