Yahoo - Sources: NCAA's evidence vs. Michigan included booster involvement in scouting scheme, attempted destruction of evidence

"The school also announced that linebackers coach Chris Partridge had been “relieved of his duties as a member of the Michigan Football staff.”"

What's really sinister about this is many or all the players are likely in on it, or aware of what's going on. Seems like some of them had to actively play a role. They were taught to be cheaters.

I, for one, am SHOCKED and APPALLED--and surprised, totally surprised!--that boosters could be behind a slimy attempt to steal games.

Michigan threatened to go foot to foot with NCAA and defend Harbaugh and the University and then the NCAA showed them what they had SO FAR, and Michigan caved quickly. Still more to come on how and by whom it got communicated to the players on the field.

This is a nothing event. It will quickly go away now they have agreed to a 3 game suspension. It’s a joke we got here. Listen to true big programs and there coaches. News flash they all do it. Bama, Georgia, Fsu etc. NCAA goes to far then they open themselves to egg on there face when it’s revealed all of their “big programs” all do it. Not happy as RU grad but realize it’s just a reality

Helmet communication will solve it and hopefully it gets enacted next year because of all of this.

Just like NIL theoretically leveled the playing field and got rid of the advantage of those willing to skirt the rules, so should using technology for this.

Your theory appears to be untrue based on what has happened so far. The B1G President didn’t want to do anything but was forced by representatives of most of the B1G schools to take action. That doesn’t match your “no one will want Michigan punished because they all do it” angle.

The 3 game suspension was just to mollify the other B1G schools right now. It has nothing to do with what the NCAA will do eventually.

I understand but after the media outrage Big Ten has to save face but the “ investigation and suspension “. Harabaugh gone next year for NFL story dies.

Trust me NCAA doesn’t want someone digging into all of the big schools . It would be too embarrassing how many schools actually do it

Just like pre NIL outrage over a school paying athletes. Lol everyone was doing it but minor slap if you get caught

Posted this in the games thread but thought it’s too funny and ironic to not be posted here too

You seem to think the focus of this whole thing is Harbaugh.

That might be true of how the talking heads on TV cover it, but the NCAA isn’t investigating Harbaugh, they are investigating Michigan.

The B1G suspended Harbaugh because that was the easiest thing for the commissioner to do under the powers given him by the bylaws of the conference, not because they only care about Harbaugh.
