Yeboah travel

Looking at it unbiased, he was fouled. That's a good no call.

I don't want to belabor the point but this is the issue. Look at your post.... you're saying good no call after saying we were fouled.

We should all be saying it was a horrible no call. It should have been a foul on them.

I think that's the point of the whole Stockholm syndrome comment I keep making. We are beaten down into thinking that we are lucky we got away with an obvious play that should have been called on them and we are saying we are happy it wasn't called on us!!!!!

Think about that for a second. It's everything that is wrong with being a bad team for so long.

Geo was not fouled on the strip imo. Thought that was a great play by the defender. Yeboah was clearly fouled and it’s not clear he didn’t release the pass in time so good no call there.

Geo may not have been fouled on his right side although I thought he was, on the lower arm.
But he was definitely fouled on his left a fraction of a second prior as the defender hit him low (one other poster above said "in the nuts") . I thought it was near his hip.

Well maybe dude had a serious package down there. Lol.

Btw, after the play Geo was chopping across his ARM to the ref. But I also saw the ball off his thigh. Missed the foul not the lastctouch imo.

Ps, great no call end game and great to see no coaches screaming at the refs. I was ok with them yesterday.

I thought there were 3 or 4 instances where the Nebby kid from Iceland just ran across the paint and it was a clear travel. Anybody else see that?

I must have missed that. The clip I saw was after he blew by and the blonde kid made the nice play.

Two factors why it wasn't called, one he never secured the ball and he was bumped, and passed. A play on situation. Most refs judge a play by start-develop-finish. That's why some calls are late, they are waiting for the play to finish. I find it funny when players, coaches, and fans cry about late calls.

It is when there is a travel . A some kids step back after the ball is picked up so there front foot is the pivot foot. When the back foot is planted after they already are holding the ball, it is a travel if the other foot is slid back. Geo did not do that. He had his step back planted as he picked up the ball. Either foot could be the pivot. He only slid one foot so he did not travel.

It’s very hard to differentiate a travel from a non travel on the step back. The new travel rule that took effect last year says for step-back moves, players must land with both feet at the same time. Now, it’s a travel if a player steps back and lands with one foot after the other. Geo got called for a travel earlier in the year on literally the exact same move as yesterday. If you watch his shot frame by frame it looks like it meets the new definition. Thankfully I can’t see any refs making that call on a game winner with 1 sec left.

This is what drives fans crazy

The no call there is the refs way of saying ok...you walked but you were bumped that caused tje walk and we don’t want to call a foul and decide the game that way, so we won’t call the talk ...play on
This drives you crazy? I much prefer the no-call and let them play approach when there's a touch foul and a borderline travel, especially at the end.

Just watched replay of rebound. Definitely not a walk. His right pivot foot didn’t move until after he passed ball. Also last 1.2 seconds appeared to take at least 3.

There were several drives and lay ups that were strolls in the park like 6 or 7 plants and run without any whistle on Nebby. In the first half there was a Nebby player who had a foot out of bounds backed himself in and got a back right in front of a sleeping Zebra that had to be day dreaming. Geo could not control the ball on the drive because one of the Nebby kids grabbed his dribble hand.
