FB Recruiting Rutgers is standing out early for 2027 athlete Khalil Taylor

It's very early in the recruiting process for class of 2027 athlete Khalil Taylor, but Rutgers has already caught his attention.

"Rutgers," Taylor said when asked which schools are standing out to him. "I like it over there. Their coaches are straight up. They're all about business, and the head coach (Greg Schiano) is just very good. I think they're going to be one of the top schools coming up."

Penn State, Maryland and many others are involved as well, and there is a long way to go, but Taylor is one to keep an eye on for Rutgers fans.

What are Exhibit 10 contracts? Here's a quote from brightsideofthesun.com

Per HoopsHype, they are contracts that teams with G League affiliates can exercise and teams are allowed to have six of them. Essentially, they are one-year, minimum-salary deals with optional bonuses up to $75,000. Teams sign them to add players to their Summer League teams, giving them a right to retain them if they like. If a player on an Exhibit 10 contract is waived before the regular season and plays for the team’s G League affiliate for 60 days, they earn the bonus. The bonus incentivizes staying with the G League team rather than signing overseas. Exhibit 10 contracts can also be converted into two-way contracts before the season starts, guaranteeing the bonus.

OT: 25th anniversary of one of the best Springsteen tours ever!

Twenty-five years ago today (July 15, 1999)... tailgating in the parking lot at the Meadowlands... enthusiasm and anticipation sky-high... Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band's North American Reunion Tour was about to commence! They were back together after not touring for more than 11 years... 7/15/99 was the first of 15 shows over a 4-week span at the Continental Airlines Arena. I made it to 13 of them.

Most Springsteen fans agree the 1978 Darkness tour is Bruce's best. However, I was a little too young to enjoy that one. IMHO, the 1999-2000 tour has got to rank No. 2. After not performing together for more than a decade, absence made the heart grow fonder for Bruce diehards. I attended 33 shows in 10 different cities during the 1999-2000 tour, including the opener at the Meadowlands and the final show on July 1, 2000 at MSG. Truly, a tour for the ages!

That's me on the left wearing a Rutgers shirt (of course!).
