    I knew it was bad for us. . .but this is positively dreadful. . . well south of awful. we finished ahead of Oregon State, among the P5. . .and Hobbs is being lauded for his Genius. I'm willing to give Hobbs the benefit of doubt, but honestly we can't get much worse.

    I'm not sure that I agree. . . if the money is going to mean so much to us. . .why wouldn't it mean just as much to them. Illinois, Minnesota, Northwestern, Purdue and Indiana all stand to make at least $100 million more than us over the next four years.

    I'm in the minority, but I don't think the money will be as substantial as everyone would like to believe. Because if it is, Purdue is going to be a beast. . . same for Northwestern and Minnesota. . . and I just can't see it.

    Sad, but true. . . Rutgers is not even close to Syracuse. . . but I think this is more about giving Syracuse credit. The Non-Revenue Sports at Rutgers are atrocious. . . No way around it. Facilities be damned, we need some new coaches.

    The Formula for Syracuse is simple. . . High Flying Offense. . . and focus the defense on packages like Nickel/Dime. As long as the Offense is high flying, they'll be able to recruit well at QB. As long as you recruit well at QB, Syracuse will be competitive.

    BC, Syracuse, and even Miami don't get enough quality walk-on's. Obviously those guys don't win games for you, but walk-on's play a huge role in the daily grind and weekly prep. Nebraska has a huge Walk-On program. And it's a huge benefit to their program.

    Given Maryland's love of all things Equestrian i.e. the Preakness, and the fact that NJ's state animal is the Horse. I'd like the trophy to be a Golden Horse, or something like that. Makes for a very cool trophy.

    Maybe, but you could design and build a really nice facility for $45 million, even in NJ. especially if it were built with the idea, that it would need constant upgrading at least once a decade.

    Coach Ash's threshold for success is absolutely minimal at Rutgers. If he beats Maryland and PSU routinely, he'll be rewarded with darn near a lifetime contract. Not like Rutgers fans have high expectations.
