    The post 2011 “pension” isn’t a pension in the colloquial sense. It’s not even close to what senior teachers who are retiring now are getting (full traditional pension).

    In NJ any teacher who started after ~2010 doesn’t have access to the traditional pension, the state axed it. My wife was hired in 2014 making 50k, 10 years later she’s at 60k.
