Yawn. You are such a dullard and so boring. It takes a real anti-Rutgers bigot-phobe to post something like this.

And clogging up the board with hissyfits from you is not good for the board. So, you are going on ignore. See you, sweetie.

his opponent: Knight Shift “the Magnificent” in the opposite corner

They were co-champs.In commemoration of that historic first season RU aims to match the win total of the 1869 NC team.
PU and DU have sold a fair amount of tickets for this game so far compared to the disaster that happened with RU and Maryland not to long ago. Beyond that I hear people attending that game will be given signs to hold up asking the question " what's a Rutgers?"Not saying it isn't a huge miss to play on the closest weekend as a proxy (which would be the following Sat. 11-9-2019), but this is correct.
Hobbs and the AD should have had a game on the calendar for that weekend.
But @Abro1975 and the quoted part that makes it sound like Princeton is playing on the anniversary and Rutgers isn't are actually incorrect. It's true that if the celebration is occurring across divisions on Sat the 9th that Rutgers is conspicuously absent. PU vs. DC up in the Bronx isn't much of a draw but it at least gets the Tigers on the radar for the day.
Nothing of substance is happening anywhere in the country on Wed. 11-6-2019 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of college football unless it's a MAC game of the (mid)week between the likes of Toledo and Northern Illinois that no one cares about.
