18-14 Auburn got snubbed....

yes thats why people here need to understand that 18-14 no longer gets you in the NIT...some stll think .500 gets you in. ..I mean RU would have to be 20-12 this year to probably get in with the weak schedule. Last year Northwestern won 20 and didnt even make the NIT

If we don't find a shooter and a serviceable center for next year it won't matter. If we do...

you are right you need a pretty good win/loss record to make the NIT

it has been hurting the semi and final crowds, however, when two
non locals get to the big game.

.... as an example, the 2014-15 final that Stanford won had a crowd
of 6,600, when beating Miami.. most other finals lately, it is hard to find the crowd size.... I think those finals were no where near a full house.

I would not be shocked if somewhere along the line they start to
look at inviting local teams with a following with a few less wins, as in the old days.

How sad for TTU. They would have been my sleeper pick in the NCAAs if they made it. Not even the NIT. Wow

A worthy PSA for the Rutgers fan... last time we were in serious NIT contention was before they changed the selection process and the board is full of people who haven't paid attention to it since**

**not that it's common to pay attention to NIT selection in any case

Several of the NIT bids were given to mid-to-low major teams that won their regular season conference titles but lost in their conference tourneys, including Monmouth...per a rule they implemented a few years ago...

I wouldn't sleep on Oakland--I think they will beat Clemson.

No problem if you won 27 games. Just not good enough for the Big Dance. Yikes !
