Saw on BTN this morning that Rutgers has the second worst D1 conference road record since 96-97. We have 24 conference road wins in 20 years.

You'd think we have OOC schools beating down our doors for a visit. Guaranteed win.

This data is very revealing because it shows over a period of time with different head coaches that Rutgers mens basketball league record on the road has been one of the worse in the country. How can you be taken seriously when the program is totally clueless on the road? The reason this fiasco has lasted this long is the lack of scorers.Road teams must silence the crowds by matching baskets with the home team and then make key baskets in the last two minutes to win games. In Rutgers case the norm has been long scoring droughts which has put the game out of reach and further demoralized the players. To be at the bottom of the barrel in so many stats is very disheartening but once again a reality check as to what happens when a sports team has been totally ignored by the athletic department for decades.

I looked at the records going back another 12 years, to Tom Young's last year. In that 12 year period we were a little better, winning 24 road conference games in 12 years. There were 2 years under Wenzel where we actually won 4 road conference games.

But going back 37 years, over 8 coaches, Rutgers has won a total of 48 conference road games. That's 1.3 wins per year.

The good news is tomorrow is the last road game of the season!! BTW - have we won a true road game the past 3 season?

We beat Clemson last year. And we won at USF two years ago

Clemson just one short year ago! My how that memory fades !

It isn't hard to figure out

We never have enough scoring...ever

Every time we had more than one threat from the outside on the team ....we were at least solid

Look at every team that made the nit and the ones that did not

Offense and scoring remain the problem

Next time I hear "scoring guard" or "excellent mid range game" as the lead for a 2 or 3 spot recruit, I'm going to barf
