Dont let yourself get sucked into the vortex.
Hahah I didnt know so like George bush said “fool me once….Shame on….me. Fool me can’t get fooled again” haha
Dont let yourself get sucked into the vortex.
Hush your mouth.Big loss would be losing Ace Bailey
Why do kids even bother to commit? It no longer makes any sense until they sign. This will work both ways now and it won’t stop coaches from recruiting over them before they even sign.
That is called delusional, wishful thinking.I will look at the positive and think this is good news about Dylan and having too many guards.
Not ideal is not the point here. It's the overall pattern that is truly disturbing. Not ideal but he’s the least important 2024 commit by a long shot.
Like Raheem BlackshearHow far off are we until the day comes when a player “decommits” from a team during halftime of a game…?
This^^^. Or, makes a "commitment" with a list of conditions that need to be met lol. GO RU!How far off are we until the day comes when a player “decommits” from a team during halftime of a game…?
or maybe NCAA destroyed it for being blood sucking vampires for such long timeNIL has destroyed college sports
Funny how bac and kyk blame the players for NIL mishaps rather than, you know, the organization responsible for supervising such issues
This is exactly why I said it is pointless to celebrate a vaunted top-rated class of "verbal" commitments, especially in the NIL era. Until these kids sign and show up for classes, I will refrain from celebrating. RU's NIL cupboard is essentially bare, so I do not expect any of the highly-touted recruits like Bailey and Harper to ever put on an RU uniform. They simply can command so much more money than RU can offer. RU raised a paltry $1.5 million in NIL the past year - for all sports -- with the lion's share earmarked for football. That leaves Pike with at best a total of $200K - $300K to work with to both retain players and get new recruits. Any single one of these high profile recruits will command that entire amount and probably more just to commit!Geez.
2024 four-star G Dellquan Warren has decommitted from Rutgers
Keystone Prep (PA) four-star guard Dellquan Warren took to social media today to announce that he has decommitted.rutgers.rivals.com
Ummm...you are wrong. for all the Rutgers fans who havent been to the dance, I'm pretty sure we all care about the improvement of the team, the NCAA appearances, and the upward trend of the program...but please, continue to hate and sulk in your world. Oh, by the way, if no one actually cared, would the RAC be packed to the gills and top 10 recruits be committed and/or considering Rutgers? If you make the post season and don't win a single NCAA tournament game, guess what? Nobody cares. It is a failure of a season. Nobody in America cares that RU won a single tournament game in the last 3 yrs
....and you can reel them in with a bag or two of dough.take a HS commitment with a grain of salt
The vast majority of Rutgers fans care until you ask them to contribute $$$. Our history shows what we are.Ummm...you are wrong. for all the Rutgers fans who havent been to the dance, I'm pretty sure we all care about the improvement of the team, the NCAA appearances, and the upward trend of the program...but please, continue to hate and sulk in your world. This is wrong on Ace. Donors came in separately for him. This is exactly why I said it is pointless to celebrate a vaunted top-rated class of "verbal" commitments, especially in the NIL era. To be sure, NIL is sucking the like out of my Rutgers fandom.
I keep hearing that too, but like I say, I will believe it when I see it! I certainly hope that is right! This is wrong on Ace. Donors came in separately for him.
Didn’t cost me a penny.or maybe NCAA destroyed it for being blood sucking vampires for such long time
Cost a lot of players a lot of dollars.Didn’t cost me a penny.
My numerous donations went directly to where I wanted them to go.
Hopefully that donation is for a FIREBALL LEFTY who pitches like Sandy KoufaxDidn’t cost me a penny.
My numerous donations went directly to where I wanted them to go.
Nobody that matters cares. College sports will get closer to professionals with players getting paid and have contracts to stay at the college for defined years prior to free agency.NIL has destroyed college sports
Correct. $1.5 million is what one collective received. Not sure why people think that is the only NIL money being handed out. This is wrong on Ace. Donors came in separately for him.
NIL has destroyed college sports
It’s not professional sports.Cost a lot of players a lot of dollars.
Completely disagree.How?
Because a recruit flips a commitment?
This has literally been having forever for every school.
The biggest news story on football NLI day every year is “Who will flip and to where?”
It’s not NIL fault that coaches continue to recruit kids after they issue a commitment.
Yep. Mike Repoli is a St. Johns alumAnother clue telling us what we already knew, our NIL situations is dire. Adjust your expectations everyone, there ain’t no magical donor.
Yep. And no school will be able to count on any 'set' roster from here on inIt means less than nothing. Don't even follow it. Just see who signs. And some of those guys won't always make it to campus.
Now that observation is totally delusional. He ‘s very good but this is what happens when people start celebrating verbals 4-6 12 -24 months before the kid signs. Thinking back how ecstatic the feelings were on here and on the podcasts. Rutgers is just one of many who will need to act or just put all $$$$ into football … then pray it’s close. Not ideal from a "everyone seems to be fleeing" perspective but I'm gonna be honest I didn't think this guy was anything special when I watched a bit of his EYBL games. I admit I did not see a huge sample but from what I saw he was, well, fine.
StopHow?

But as I told Nick…please enjoy
Cost a lot of players a lot of dollars.
Stop
Pay for play is not NILThis. The Supreme Court was pretty decisive on NIL.
Lol…It kind of is. It’s the minor league for the NBA and NFL.
