Now that Midlands is behind us...after a good showing for the second year in a row, time to get ready for the 2nd half of dual season. What do you guys think will happen in terms of team wins/losses? Here's my thoughts:

Illinois L (Picked this one as a close win before the season, switching it to a loss now)
At Ohio State L
At Penn State L
Oregon State W
Purdue W
At Michigan L (Close loss with a ton of their top guys RSing)
At Michigan State W
Indiana W
Northwestern W

So we would finish 11-5 in duals...5-4 in the B1G. I could see us pulling off upsets vs Illinois and Michigan if everything goes our way. With that record we would go to another NWCA National Dual...possibly vs someone like NC State or a MAC team like Central Michigan.

I'm still hoping that Rutgers can beat Illinois. It will be difficult without Richie Lewis. But, I still think Rutgers can do it at the RAC. It should be a very close match.

I look at it like this:

Definite loss: At PSU
Probable loss: At OSU
Toss Up: Illinois, At Michigan
Probable Win: Oregon State, Purdue, Indiana, Northwestern
Definite win: At MSU

I think we can win at least one of the toss up matches between Illinois and Michigan...both should be extremely close. I think the rest of the matches won't have many surprises though.

Here is how I see Illinois

They are favorites at 133 (poss bonus), 165 (definite bonus), 174 (Bak could loss close) and 285 (poss bonus, Black not having a great year but better than what we have)

We are favorites at 141 (definite bonus), 149, and 157.

Toss ups at 125, 184 (sorry can't give it to Gravina) and 197.

So I think we need to win the 3 toss ups to win, if we only win 2 they probably win on bonus points.

How do you think we would match up against Michigan Dan? I pegged that one as a sure loss going into the season before they decided to RS most of their best wrestlers like Abounander and Coon.

My group of 6 season tickets will be there Friday night. We love being apart of that crazy crowd. Can't wait.
